We are supposed to be HEAVY swordsman so I would really like to see a HUGE two handed broadsword. The weapons we have now are just too small (I also a wookiee ... )
We have electricity? which sword is this from what I gathered we were limited to kinetic and blast but then I have only used 2H curved,cleaver and PH.
PH should not be our best weapon if you want to define a Heavy swordsman take a look at the medieval knights etc. Give me a Big broadsword and I will be happy. (I like the PH and dont want it to go but it should not be the be all and end for the swordsman)!
electricity weapon would be the "vibro" axe.
I would like to see some BIG swords, im a wookiee as well. I want to see a big greatsword or broadsword or long sword.
I think it would be very neat for us to get a No-datchi. We basically have a katana with the two handed curve sword, why not go in that vein with swordsman? Also a larger broadsword, I think there should bethree types of swordsman the berseker ax/hammer users. The "mideivil" type who uses broad swords like the cleaver, then the Samurai type with the two handed curved and the new No-datchi.

As a MWS we really need to make sure that any weapons we get have the materials that go into them (and the said stat that they use)carefully thought out. Too often I have seen a good weapon turn out like the crapper (and subsequently not be used at all by the class) becuase of the particular resource that is needed to make it uses some stat that is never above 100 etc thus gating the weapon form here until eternity or until it is changed. A prime example is using conductivity on Plumbum Iron!
Now melee has as far as I know faired well etc as far as things go with weapons&resources (there are still resources that gate things tho) and the weapons that suck are generally that way beacause they suck and not because a resource made them that way. We should not however rely on the devs to get this right when/if new weapons are added to our arsenal etc!
(some work with WS correspondant and forum would probably be enough etc too).

It'd be nice to get an elemental weapon out of the deal. Even cooler if the type of elemental damage was defined during the construction of different weapons, using a module of some type.
Sure, we'd all have to listen to cracks about "hot knives through butter", but I think we could endure that.
In general, just more swords. And possibly some nicer-looking axes.
i would agree with the warrior, samuri (sp? i'm tired), bezerker idea, but all three would have to use the same moves, and the same defenses and such. but there would be the key diverseness in the class, as we would have the people with the heavy damage weapons that are slower via axes and hammers or a sword the like a flamberg which has about a 5 to 6 foot blade, the medium damage guys with the cleavers and b@stardsword type weapons, and the samuri with the katana, and the various weapons that fit into that catagory. it would add diversity to our class and give the people the choices of weapons to use. also it would go well with the role players out there that want to play a certian type of character,
like my trandoshan is a bezerker type character, and thus i use thepowerhammer and want axes for the higher levels of swordsman. i will add my ideas about the various specials to the other round table thread on that topic.
scrufty, I would just like to point out that that is by far the most creative "Star Wars" Themed 2 Handed weapon that I have ever heard of. That REALLY needs to be innovated into this game. I can actually picture us holding a huge broadsword with 2, single sided blades forming it into a double bladed sword.
Of course, the only weapon name that can really come to mind for that weapon would be the "Vibro Sword." Unless someone can come up with something more creative, but Lucas didn't really light the way with melee weapons in the movies so the Devs have to come up with something or conduct a survey.
