Thread: Is Counter Attack Important??

What i am getting at here is trying to decide if its all that important to cap counter attack by buying a tape but i wanna know if its any good b4 i go and spend a crap load...

Its good, but i wouldnt buy a tape. Its just not worth it, spend it on accuary or speed. The natural bonuses from swordsman is enough to make it active enough of the time.

Counter-attack is incredibly important


Aswordsman doesn't have much defences and counterattack really helps. I have +25 in tapes and the difference is incredible while tanking hi-end mobs and in PvP.


Read up on what counterattack does and u'll realize its importance

How much counterattack is that?

Im on +117 at the minute, and dont counterattack that much in pvp.

in your screen shot u had like 5k of "shrug it of and counter" thingies.. but one "hits for 400dmg but u counterattack"


what's up with that?

I won't say exactly how high any of my resistances are, and i don't counter that much in pvp usually. I wasn't Intimidated and this was against a Jedi and they have low accuracy in their base attack.


Fencers or riflemen usually hit one in 2, 3 or 4, depending on the type of weapon and range.
Pistoleers, swordsmen, pikemen and Jedi (withoutnov brawler)have a really hard time hitting me though.

There's the reason for all those counters. Would be interested to see a screenie of you vs. a accuracy capped high accuracy PvPer or a high-end NPC/MOB.

The 'shrug it off and counter' were normal hits, The 309 one was a special attack -- I've seen this before in PvE when my attacks were dodged -- it you use a special it shows the damage that would have been done.
