The 'shrug it off and counter' were normal hits, The 309 one was a special attack -- I've seen this before in PvE when my attacks were dodged -- it you use a special it shows the damage that would have been done.

but those that hit were all with wrath of something... at least a special attack... that makes me think those were all special hits... but i dunno

Against high accuracy PVPers or when a Jedi uses special attacks they hit more, but i can assure you counter attack can be VERY useful.

its wrath of kun ...and yeah its the master LS special for the dual-bladed LS.
