I have heard so many rumors about other professions but I haven't heard any about Swordsman. Anyone heard if they plan to nerf us, improve us, or just leave us alone? Other professions have threads regarding it and hadn't seen anything here for it unless I missed it, which is very possible.

We can't tell you a thing, and anything you hear from someone not in the Alpha is probably untrue.

According to what's posted, we'll need the brawler/1-handedbranch to qualify for swordsman. So our profession will cost us an extra 14 skill points. Not good news if you have other professions.

well if you wanna hear more rumors, heres what i heard. that since defense/templete stacking will be nerfed in the cu, well have to rely on our high damage output to take em down. which means, swordsman will be the on the front line but behind the tank kinda guy who is just there to deal alot of damage in as short a time as possible. but there rumors of course.

I'm just a *little* bit curious about what's going to happen to the 1107 max PH I paid 25mill for the bone to build. But hey, the cryptic language used in that Development page thread makes me think they haven't even gotten to that stage of development yet, so there's still time to whittle broomsticks into spears and get the torches ready.
Also, I know he said he's retiring, and I respect that, but having our Corro put in his notice before the CURB is NOT GIVING ME A WARM AND FUZZY.

The fact that he's not the only one is what scares me.

From the Pistoleer forum (link to post):
yes, there will be a conversion.
Great stuff will remain great, good stuff remain good etc etc...but any unbalancing weapons like thsoe 5000 damage power hammers will probably be scaled down farther than their owners would like.
So I guess something like this begs the question:
"What do the Devs consider 'unbalancing?'"
