Thread: SWORDSMEN'S ROUND TABLE: On weapons...
I want a poison-tipped blade, too.
Weapons i'd like to see, in no particular order
1: Dual Wielding Axes or Swords
2: Larger Swords & Axes
3: Mace (not the windu one either)
4: More Hammers
Uh.. I thought we were two handed as in, we use weapons that require two hands to use.. lol, you have to be **edit** strong to dualweild heavy axes.. ![]()
You know the words "Heavy Swordsman" actually means that we use "heavy" swords. ![]()
Dualwielding is for the fencers. And Jedi of course.
we need a powerful axe that works well with master.
it makes way more sense than a powerhammer since it would be a bladed weapon.
a nice vibro axe would be sweet.

I think it would be perfect. The Adumarian govt. left the Old Republic just after palpatine took over, so it is possible to have them in this time era...although a stretch (no worse then all the Zabraks and nonslave Wookies). It could be an elite cert. with a slower speed than the katana style 2-handed, but faster then the hammer. Damage-wise I'm not so sure, but I would think something with a higher minimum then the other 2 would make it stand out a bit.
It would be cool too to see a little blaster bolt flash when you hit or just when you do a special with it. And it would have a more "star warsy" feel to it, then a fantasy style sword would.

Badass.. And it already exists in StarWars, so I see no problems in implementing it
I think varying damage types makes the most sense. There should be multiple top tier weapons for us to use with each damage type represented. that way all swordsmen would not be carrying the same weapon. it would diversify the look and feel of the profession.
ideas:
heavy mace: stun damage (it stuns when whupped up-side the head and shoulder area)
vibro sword: kinetic
Flail: electric (releases electric charge on impact) (could have some really nice animations to it as well)
war club: acid (looks like a spiked baseball bat, spikes contain acid)
There is no reason that there could not be a heat weapon, a cold weapon etc... if all of these have fairlyreasonable attributes, i don't see why they could not be implemented.
if a light-sabre is possible....
We already rock the house with AP2 blast and kinetic, do we really need any other damage types?Nah, I don't think so ![]()
