While I'm thinking about it, there are a couple of other ideas that pertain to my first.
Keep the idea of a two-handed axe, but model it somewhat after a lightsaber. Imagine a long, sturdy shaft like the Power hammer with the cross section at the top for an axe blade, but instead of the blade it would have a semi-circle shaped emitter. When its turned on the emitter focuses energy into a two or three inch blade along the length of the semi-circle much like a lightsaber, just on a smaller scale. This could justify other damage types like energy or acid instead of heat or electricity. Would probably be a bit more Star Wars-ish than the heated axe idea as well. As long as the damage type wasn't overpowered this one could also be suggested as heavy armor piercing as well.

If you want to go along the lines of this being a heavy two handed weapon profession, instead of being limitied to just swords, why not a big heavy 3 headed flail/spiked ball and chain type of weapon. Personally I think it would be fairly fun to see and considering the chains being swung it could very well be set as restraint damage.
Just a thought, don't know if anyone else will like it or not.

we wouldnt want heat sa most high level mob;'s in game all have high res to heat anyway , but clod now there is only one weapon in game with cold dam and that is the scatter rifle , cold would be good
