PvP damage output: Are you crazy? /duel, /2hmeleeheadhit3, fight's over. I don't know how many times this has happend for me... Alot. Using a powered-up PHammer with 725 max damage. Oviously these victims... erm... opponents are not wearing the uber-krayt-comp helmets and are not on muon or a powerboosted TKA.

HAM cost: You're comparing us to Carbineer? Not even close. TKAs are far worse-off than we are in this department. How can you complain about not being able to kill large creatures? We have the BEST bleed of any brawler.

Defense/Toughness: The only brawler class that is good in this area is TKA. Fencers come close in actual melee/ranged defense, but no one compares to TKA. Swordsman actually have more KD defense than TKA. Basically what it comes down to is that we trade doing more damage for having less defense. I don't see the problem in that.

Maybe if you tried out some of the rest of the brawler classes you'd have a greater appreciation for Swordsman.

I agree with the rest though.

1.09% Rebel Declared
1.39% Imperial Declared
Imps shouldn't complain about being out numbered on the Covert status cause Overt is all that matters...

The fastest post I have ever seen from a DEV came from him attempting to debunk the idea that the first Jedi had inside help to achieve it. I smell a rat.- Marmaduke4

Also mention to change the description for counterattack. It is nothing more than a renamed block/dodge move and its description should reflect that.

Counterattack is totally different to block and dodge. If you successfully 'counterattack you hit your target with a 'counterattack'. Clock and dodge you do just that...you block or you dodge. Different skills, different animations, different names.

Coir,

Counterattack is NOT a different type move than block or dodge. You simply avoid a hit when counterattacking. There is no sidestepping type animation like in dodge though. There is no free hit. There is no unmissable attack. There is no damage being reflected back or anything other than a simple evasion.I am asking they change the description soit reflects what the move actually does.

Good post. I completely agree with everything you had to say about the state of the swordsman profession. But there is one thing that has come up in the game recently that I haven't seen very many posts about on any of the melee profession boards. And that is the lack of melee power up items. I have friends with pistols ... not heavy weapons mind you but Fwg5 pistols that can do you damage and are 3 times quicker then any power hammer I've ever seen because they were crafted with Krayt tissue. Now they did give us rancor teeth to use when crafting melee weapons. But the problem there is rancor teeth just the the place of a sword core ... they only come in one variety. and a well crafted sword core is better in my opinion then any rancor tooth I've seen. Melee needs not only more variety in weapons but more variety in weapon power ups. I could really care less about the animations, with the way things are now our weapons are to slow for it to make much of a difference. I'd rather they concentrate on fixing the big issues so that our class can complete with others. I think better defense, more variety in offensive moves, more weapons, and useable weapon powerups should be on the top of the list.

My 2 cents, my swordsman character should be equal to a Teras Kasi in a 1 on 1 fight.

Until I can stand on an equal footing with that class, Swordsman is worthless.

Why would anyone want to be a swordsman when TK is so much better. Faster, stronger, with better defences.

All I can say is BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! to the new patch. The one thing that kept things somewhat interesting is the mind bleed incapping saving my life when I'm gang beat on. And I'm tired of getiing Knockdown Dizzied can't get up and beaten due to Cheesey Teras Kasai ability. Getting a knockdown is a rarity for us, we have no dizzy or blind or anything to help us. This game becomes less and less interesting and more of a drag every time a new patch comes out.

Definitely need better weapons. Why go Swordsman when I can be one hit killed by virtually every other class? We need better bonuses, Better Weapons and better defenses. We also need something to help put someone out of the fight like the TK Dizzy/Knockdown. You mean to tell me a shirtless, diaper wearing TK Artist can knock me down in full armor and dizzy me so I can't get up and I score a direct hit on his exposed coconut with the old Scalp Slam and he/she shrugs it off? And bring back the DoT incap, nothing worse then getting Death Blowed by someone who's profusely pouring blood from the cranium only to stop at one and deliver you to the nearest cloning facility. It reminds me of Bugs Bunny nose diving in a plane and it stops an inch from the ground because it ran out of gas and he hops off.

I try to make this short as is can.

All i read is bohoo swordman is so waek bohoo i can't kill a TKA without using m moves bohoo.

Guys pull you together an use your brains or for whatis this strange thing in your heads?

If you want to killa TKA thing before the fight over a taktic how you could kill him. Should i use MindHit3 or Lunge2 (Master Brawler) and 2HandHin3? And somekind of taktics. The Swordman isn't so weak how you all think. We have the highest DMG (with the Power Hammer) and the hightes Thoughness of all melee professions. Ok we have low melee/ranged defensieves but what did the DEV's tell us, a long long time ago. If you want to be a REAL Meleefighter, don't cry accept it and use the other professions! Low melee/ranged defenses? No problem ... with the Stances Fancing and Grip tree of the Fencer profession.

So, don't cry, look at your profession and make the best of your situation. Good luck whish you a Master Swordman on Gorath. Sorry if my english are bad.

Novice Fencer/TKA to create the ultimative meleefighter.

our accuracy is pretty lousy.I always miss a lot. I am a master brawler and a 3,4,4,3 swordman. Sometime I got so fed up that I want to throw away the hammer. But, that's our only deadly weapon.
