Thread: Bria Swordsman PA
You must have Apprentice Swordsman as your title if one of us sees you and you are asking to join.
TO achieve apprentice swordsman you must master two hand sword specialization.
From there, you will only be a low ranking member of the clan. Once you reach Novice, there is no limit to your gaining rank in the clan.

Yo i just made a brawler on this server and was planning on making a swordsman when i came to this board and saw this post. I think the idea of a swordsman PA/guild is pretty **edit** cooland was wondering, do I have to become a novice swordsman before I can request to join?? I'm going to train to become a swordsman either way so it doesnt matter whether i could be in now or later, I was just wondering.
Woah cool, people already wanting to join and we're not even officially established yet! hehe
He could be an apprentice or affiliate, and then when he is skilled enough to reach novice swordsman he would become a part of the guild.
BTW I made it to 1-2-2-2 last night. Whoo hoo..
I think Dantooine is cool.
From what I hear a PA hall costs 350-400k. Who is going to help pitch in on this?
Ok,I have more info on this. The guild halls cost about 350k but we also need to take into account a few more factors.
A guild Hall takes 9 lots to build. We only have 10 per person so someone is going to lose all the lots.. They will not be able to build a house since even small houses take 2 lots.
And the other thing is that a guild hall has a 2400 a day maintenence fee. Now, it is easy enough to make this on just one 15 min mission.. But we are going to need to work out who is going to pay, are we going to divide it between guild members. Rotate the fee on a daily basis. Or just have one designated person paying this?
Another way to make this easy is to put a vendor in the guild hall. You count the number of members in the guild hall, then you put say 15 small knives up for sale on the vendor, that meens if we have 15 members each knife would cost 5k, if all the members buy you would know who bought it, when, and if we are missing member donations....
etc. I think the vendor idea is the best...

THe way it works in TEN right now is this. Each member of the guild donates a minimum of 5000 credits each week. We pick a day, and whoever is guild leader, receives the money. So say, every friday night, you must make a 5k donation, and send an email with notice of your donation...

Excellent idea!
Although I have an addition:
Each knife should be named for each person in the PA (ie one for K'ysick, one for Caliban, one for Zai, etc.)
Each person would buy their own knife, so that way we could easily tell who paid and who didn't by simply looking at whose knives are still on the vendor.

I can pitch in quite a bit if not the whole thing, but the downfall is that I can't give up my lots 'cause that's my money maker.
I've been toying around with the idea of getting a second account though, to make a crafter ala "origins" style
and would have lots available on it.. just need to get my second machine up and running again for that to happen.
The vendor idea is great, just need to have business 4 in order to have a vendor.
Okay the Vendor Idea is great. I really like that. A knife with each persons name has a sort of swordsman appeal to it. I cant make a vendor though, dont know if we can buy one for some one.
Swilo I appreciate that you will help pitch in on this. Hopefully we can get a group of people to be the co-founders, (preferably everyone posting here), that way the cost is lessend and everyone has a sense that they really put effort into building the first swordsman guild on Bria.
I admit that I have been focused on leveling lately and not on earning money. Well starting tonight I am going to be running those stupid destroy missions like mad to earn money.
So far we have Kysick pitching in and we have Swilo. Who else? Also there was talk of a phpbb.. I dont know anything about building this so whoever it is, how is that coming?
So, we should discuss the heirarchy of this. Should there be a council and a leader? How should they be picked?
I think that there should be a founders council. This would be the group that build the Guild, put forth the effort and creds and brain power for it. And then a leader can either be elected or we could operate like the UN and rotate the leadership position through the council. I think rotation is better because it can alleviate you of responsibilitys that might grow heavy after time, and everyone gets a chance to influence the guild. The voting thing is also a good idea because everyone feels they have a say in it, only problem is you have to coordinate the voting process. Also we could have a council and no leader per se. Either way the council should probably have different responsibilities. These could be permanent or they could be rotated.. I prefer permanant because once you are good at it why make someone else learn it? We need the head of treasury, head of recruitment, head of security, head of information, head of combat, head of training... something like that.. Anyways, please share your ideas on this?
K'syck Baenre
AHhhh I forgot the funnest part....
We get to decide the name? I think everyone should post ideas then once we have the Guild hall built we will vote. Personally I like names that include Samurai... But that is just me.
So I made 50K last night for the guild hall. I will probably make another 50k this week. Which is easily a third of the price.
im glad my Ideas are taking off. hehehe
anyways.
A few names including dragon
The Red Dragon
The Ivory Dragon.
eh..
