Thread: Bria Swordsman PA
Great, you can definitly join. The qualification is that you have entered the swordsman branch and of course that you have a love for that skill.
As far as building the PA hall is concerned I found I was able to make about 70K in 8 hours by running destroy missions in Theed on Naboo.. They pay 3000 if you keep refreshing you can get 2 in the same direction. Of course I spent all of that on my composite armor. Now all I need is a left bracer. Once I have that I am going to start grinding the missions for creds and start saving for the 400k mark of a PA hall. Anyone that is interested in helping to build our PA hall please send me an email K'syick Baenre. I will probably be running the destroy missions on saturday all day long. If anyone wants to help we can meet at theed on Sat. We will run destroy missions together, the more people the better. Then we can get 4 or 5 people, each with 2 destroy missions in the same direction. Which is 10 missions in the same area at 3000 a peice and then the run back time. The kills are very very easy of course and the only downtime is the run back and forth. Once we have the cash we will go scout out dantooine for a spot and contact a master architect.
I am pretty excited about this so I plan on earning the creds one way or the other, even if no one wants to help. But it will be faster and more enjoyable if people pitch in on this. Email me or post if you are interested. Thanks.
Okay, so far this is the list of people that have expressed interest.

I am starting to wonder if building the PA hall on a desolate planet is the best idea for the Guild. Granted there is the benefit of being the mysterious guild in the dagerous jungles.
But if we were to build our PA in a soon to be player city like Halfwayfar then it would probably be better for the Guild.Easy interaction with vendors, cantinas, and populace. The guild would have more visibility, this would allow for more swordsman to have the opportunity to join the ranks. Plus there are plenty of interesting places on Tattooine, such as the valley of the Krayts. The rebel and imperial raids between AH and Bestine. The battlegrounds behind Mos Espa (or is it Entha?).
What do you all think. Personally I vote for Halfwayfar. This player city is getting huge. It grows on a daily basis and would probably be best for the guild.
I know what you mean and I agree wholeheartedly with every reason that you give.
However, I DO like the idea of building on a more desolate planet and the reasons for doing so MORE.
In my mind, the ideal situation would be a guild of 7 (or 13) Master Swordsmen. (Don't ask why, I just like those numbers hehe.) In other words, I am really for the idea of QUALITY vs QUANTITY. And if it's going to be small (and I think we should have it as small as possible), then we don't really need the visibility etc.
Anyway, just my .02
By the way, the name's Cisto... Cisto Cissaski.

Oh, I think it might be helpful to post our stats, so we know where everyone is.
So far I have 0-2-0-1.
I'm also going for Master Brawler. All I have left is the 3 othermaster slots (obviously two-hand is mastered already, heh).
My 2 cents and im sticking to it.
PA hall- Somewhere, not right in the middle of civilation, but maybe not in the middle of nowhere
True Guild Hall(s)- secret/hidden/hard to find/dangerous to get to
satellite guild halls - a few located throughout civilization.
I also do believe that whether you are a master swordsman or a novice swordsman should not matter. It is activity, love of swordsman, teamwork, leadership, and ability to put time in that counts to who moves up the ladder
Another thought came to mind, with respect to today's dev posts:
the more desolate the place we place our guild, the more likely it is that a player city will be made centered around US, the swordsmen!
Of course this would be FAAAAR into the future, but think about it: a city build on the premise of the sword...
(I get chills down my spine just thinking of the idea. Ahh, what it would mean to be the elite of the elite...)
I forgot to add..
We should be a guild that people seek us out to join, not the other way around. We should want people who want to join us without us asking them to join, to take it on themselves to find out how to join and show the initiative and dedication to join. When people work for something they appriciate it more then being given it. That would build a stronger foundation and inter-member ties then having and open inventation. Personally, I've been in the powerful guilds that everyone wants to be in.. how the guild got to that point was by selective recruiting.. even if we know we want the person in the guild, the person might not know yet if they do.. the only way to find out is to work for it.
just my 2cp.

YES!! Personally I'd be in favor of a "no-invitation" policy, meaning just that, don't invite anyone. For now it should be only us, the ones in this thread, until our name somehow gets out there and membership becomes something to be greatly desired...
We could centralize our communication there, with lots of cool nifty stuff.
