M.Sword/ M.Brawler/ TKM/ Swashbuckler/ Exploration3 works well for me. TKM gives lots of "combat acuity" with enables/enhances the sword's "counterattack." So unless I'm intimidated, I counterattack most hits. Swashbuckler (fencer 0/4/0/0) is great to get kd/posture change defense high enough to never have to worry about getting downed. I opted for exploration instead of medic on the grounds that between buffs, food, spice, armor, and shields, my defense is sound enough.. Any melee fighter's main weakness lies within their lack of range, so by going with exploration, you can boost your speed enough to catch up with most templates (considering there is some terrain to negotiate). If you use a high accuracy scythe while chasing down a kiter, you can knock em down with lunge2 as soon as they're 18 meters from you (don't forget to intimidate2 at 30m), and switch to a high dmg hammer to blow their mind away while they're down.
Definately CM's pose a large threat with their max range, dots, and ability to keep their distance with superior terrain negotiation... Imagine if you had that combined with the awesome "in your face" power of a master swordsman, you could singlehandedly take out entire teams with ease.

i was a pistoleer....and the specials wer ein no way borked when i left. The only one that didnt do what it was supposed to was multi-target pistol shot and the point blank ones were pretty lame.

I didn't fare too well against a Dark Jedi 4-4-4-4 Guardian. Lost my buff halfway through the fight. May as well have gone prone and let him finish the job quickly. Bad thing about the scythe -- spamming headhit3 will drain the heck out of your mind. Before the fight I consumed three canapes, muon and brandy and my mind was still the first to go.
Guess I'll just stick to PVE.
