From looking at this weapon...I really cant see it going as a cold damage...AP3 I could see...but I'm not sure we warrant such a creation...AP3 would make for a DEADLY weapon.


On another note...WE DO need more than 2 damage types...everyone does...Rifleman are near to having ALL damage types, while TK is stuck with only one still. Granted I think due to TK's wide range of skills and pool targetting attacks that they do not need as many damage types as everyone else...but I think at least 3 different damage types should apply to all professions(2 for TK), this will prevent the..."Well now I'm useless, because everything is at least 80% resistant to my attacks +medium armor" crap. If any of you have been to the corellia corvette yet, you'll understand what I'm getting at.


Being utterly unable to do any significant damage or damage at all is rather devastating...and game breaking..

Last time I checked(this morning) fencers only have two damage types also.

and .... your point is? so do Pikeman and carbineers. BTW Rifleman only have 3 damage types stun,acid and energy so there is alot they cant kill on high lvl npcs. now pistoleers have the most of any non-elite prof with energy,acid,stun,kinetic,heat. The only one better is BH who have access to every type except blast but they pay for that with the sp cost and lack of defences

That's because anything other than stun damage or DoTs is largely a waste ofswings in melee PvP, b/c of composite/doc buffs. Most take up Fencer or TKA asthey're the path of least resistance, that's why FotMs exist.


AP doesn't appreciably work in PvP, where we need balancing the most since our bleeds were nerfed and acklay stun batons came into vogue.


You guys know the pike with particle effects that Axka Mihn drops? Add blue particle effects for either stun or cold damage, or green for acid damage. This could also be your chance to give us back what you want exactly for a mind DoT, since beforeit was felt to be too strong, and now nerfed off the toolbar completely.


And finally, another reason Action doesn't make sense is that we swing with both arms [Health.]

Weapons: Executioner's Hack should now be certified at 2-Handed IV (Fatal Finesse)



Well that's a Brawler cert...why add something inferior to the [disappointing] scythe?

It has been confirmed that none of the stats on the weapons currently released to Death Watch are correct and they will soon change. I'll let you guys know as soon as I know more.

I have tried to push a bit for AP3 (as that seems to be the most likely way they would go -- it is an axe after all) and I also brought up alternative damage types.

But I have the feeling its out of my hands at this point. I think we will get to see the dev "vision" first in the weapon that is put up and then we'll get a chance to give feedback on it: "yeah, right on" or "hey, that isn't going to be used at all". From there we can hopefully tweak a bit to get something that will be a nice addition to our arsenal.

Clarification on my previous post...when I said everyone needs more than 2 damage types...I didnt just mean swordsman...I meant ALL other professions....Also...not sure who it was that said that rifleman only have 3 damage types...but you Missed COLD, and whatever damage type that new berserker rifle came out ot be...I think it was either heat or blast...

and something else I forgot to add...


Cold damage might be a bit much for swordsman honestly....I know we can nearly solo krayts...most of us can do it no problem...but with a cold damage axe...we'd eat them alive. However, to me acid damage is believable for a bladed weapon...per haps even a lower condition to compensate for the "acid" wearing off the blade?

Rifleman have energy(laser), stun(jawa ion), heat(berserker), cold(SG82), blast(t21), and acid(Disrupter rifle).


Carbineers have energy(laser), acid(dxr6 and nyms), and heat(EE3)


Pistoleers(along with BH and commando)have Energy(Republic),Blast(Launcher/Striker...comando/bh), Heat(FWG5), acid(DX2), and stun(geno).


Tk have kinetic


Swordsman have kinetic and blast


Pikeman have kinetic and electric


Fencers have kinetic and stun



So riflemen have the most damage types, while the melee class all have the least(TK being the least).
