Thread: Scythe Blade!
...........man...................leave it to Devs to insult Pikeman.......AGAIN............We have to kill a 450K Axsva Min to get averysmall CHANCE to Ninja loot (Obviously in a big group) a schematic, and spend weeks/months killingNightsisters we can't solo (Unless augmented)for Nightsister Vibro Motors. On top of that the Energy Lance has very very crappy stats, the only good thing about it are the mediocre DoT's that anyone can find even on low level Nightsister faction NPC's, and the "Static" electricity it makes...but only when certain conditions are met.....purely cosmetic.....and the skin for the Energy Lance is horrible.........
Bah.....goodnight...

How can you guys say the range mods suck????
My PH's all have like -29 to -32 range mods (but it does over 600 max dmg
) So this thing is twice as accurate as my PH and twice as fast. Its a nice weapon but a master will drop it for a dmg sliced PH.

Because its just another weapon I can't use in PvP. It can have all the uber speed and uber damage in the galaxy, but if I can't hit anything with it then its useless. Other professions have high enough defenses as it is, and the negative range mod just adds to that.
There are a billion reasons why it shouldnt be like that, Q said it himself months ago, but they haven't bothered doing anything about it until now with the coming weapons balance. Hopefully they'll get ALOT better, and we'll have + range mods on ALL our weapons, the way it should be.
what i want to know is - why would they give it a high mind cost when all our weapons are centered on strength.
thats like giving a rifleman a weapon with 85 health ham cost.
it's totally wrong and kind of just, well...............a kick in the collective nuts?
This thing should definitely have positive range modifiers, it's a finesse weapon, not a brute force weapon like our hammers - remember that the scythe certification is BELOW novice heavy swordsman, so I'd expect this thing to perform like a cleaver - if they moved it way up to master (something I'd be happy with), then it should be a far more dangerous weapon, but given it's certification you can't expect maximum lethality.
