Thread: Problems with NPC AE's?

Slightly off-topic I know, but was hunting on Endor last night and saw a static spawn of Death Watch guys - near one of the Ewok Villages - Me and a friend (Both Swordsgirls) took a Death Watch Ghost out pretty easily - next one spawned pretty fast so i ran up to aggro him and pull him away from the SBD i really didn't want to upset (!) and he shot me... with what looked like a DLT10 rifle... for 4977 damage - Full Charge Shot in the chest - luckily my armour took 68% of the damage so i survived and we managed to kill him - but needless to say i was somewhat surprised by the damage And all i got was some Binary Liquid... (?)

Ahem ^^ Agree with the previous post - the PvE side of the game is lots more fun now with the specials and weapon changes back on NPCs - I laughed my head off when a Stormie tried to use Sleeping Krayt on me and KD me the other nite

The move itself has nothing to do with the fact that its doing huge damage. I'd account that more to the fact that they wield 3000 max dmg weapons. Btw, when the NPCs used specials a long time ago, my buddy got hit for 24,000dmg by a Dark jedi master using cascade of hatred, and I got one-shotted by a NS Elder using Advanced Strafe for 18,000dmg holding a T21, so this is nothing new. They're supposed to be this difficult.

well first off I like the specials being back in, but I have noticed two things. First I was out checking harvesters the other day with a friend and we are getting aggroed by Mauler marauders north of Theed, now I am master sword and he is about halfway up commando, and without buffs we were getting a little beat up, nothing major but I think we both incapped once each. Then after being all peaced out, i suddenly incap, no warning, no music, no nothing. I check the combat log, and I see that the mauler has hit me for 1400 points of damage, no armor block, no PSG block. This wsa a bit surprising to me that a NPC that cons blue to me can one shot incap me. The only other thing I noticed was last night on the corvette, a) the whole thing seems a bit harder, which was expected, but b) there seemed to be some hits that just didnt seem possible, not to mention lots of misses on the armor, and my PSG I dont think has ever worked.

Last night me and a swords/doc freind went to fight some nightsister. From very far away an elder agros us and runs in with a stunbaton. We decide we better run cuz a stun baton is nasty, by the time I can type lets run, it does cascade of hatred and kills us both in one shot hitting each for over 3k damage, and that was intimidated. All I can say is ouch.
