Thread: TKM vs Master Swordsman
Hi I'm a tkm on corbantis.
I have to agree that tka is overpowered. I was fighting a carbineer with a full set of composite andi was dishing out around 600 with hit 3. My vk have over 200 max damage. The ham cost is high with them but i hit for more than 3 times more damage with my vk.
I just bought the vk to single hit commandos. Hehe, see how they like it.
The kd + Dizzy is pretty cheap. Might as well be an instakill bc when someone gets hit with it fat chance of getting up. If any of you hs are having trouble with this and you have any points left, the best thing for you to do is get trickshot from pistoleer. I hardly every get kd and dizzy anymore with it, and hs have more kd and dizzy defense than tkm, so it should work even better for you.
Anyway tka can own a master heavy swords with master brawler easy. the extra speed and toughness isn't jack. I fought a drugged up mhs, she used a kd+dizzy attack, mind bleed, the works, still died.
The only sense in which i think that tka is overpowered is that its so easy to gain. ppl like to cry about how hard unarmed 4 is but tka aren't the only ones who have to train that, commandos and smugglers do too. it's called work.
Once you get barely past novice you can solo fort tusken and mster in a week and a half if you work hard at it. I have heard of mhs getting owned by tka experts.
We hit faster and more accurate, more damage in a shorter ammount of time than any hs. Less ham too, a tkm can kill a mhs easy without vk, which puts the ham cost around 50.
I hear we are getting nerfed in the next patch though, so no worries.
The only complaint that I don't like is the one about realism. About how in real life a swordsman could kill an unarmed enemy easily. Most people don't know the history of tka. I have heard that it was just fan fiction, but I have heard quotes from "shadow hunter", about maul using certian tka stances like battling bantha. If maul was a tka practitioner then it isn't just fan fiction. Oh, and in real life swordsman would get owned by a newbie with a cdef. Think about it.
Ofcource it would never hurt to spend some frigging points in an other weapon tree to get more knockdown recistance.... Pistoleer anybody?
Swordsman tree +15 against knockdown..... the stances line of pistoleer gives you another +30.
Maybe ask the devs for more knockdown defense in the swordsman tree?
In the end its far more productive to get the devs to work on improving a class then trying to get them to nerf other professions, sooner or later the nerf bat will be turned the other way and then you get it just as hard. That in the end will simply hurt us all, and i dont think thats what we all realy want.

Stop whining about everyone else's profession and start whining about your own. The problem is not that devs have done great things to help TKs - the the problem is that you are MORE THAN DUE for your own turn at the love trough.
So.. leave us alone, and in return, I'll support you're cries that swordsman need dev love 100%.
I get so tired of nerf cries. Bring on the buff cries!

They do have that. Its called the Dizzy State stim. Its craftable by docs and usable by docs.
i have been messing around with many techniques after starting this thread .. and i have beat a tkm once with luck ...
warcry,got the bleeds off .. then luckily when i was dizzy kd instantly after the 10 seconds was up my COB made me counter until i stood up and got one last head hit off to finish him... other than that it is nearly impossible for a master swordsman, no other skills involved to beat a teras kasi master .. okay so i'm not saying nerf tka .. i'm saying right now they are overpowered in pvp .. so make other people have somewhat of a chance
