yes i agree, the lines behind the special moves are horrid. i know some people like them, but just to make everybody happy, see if we can get an option to turn them off.
but as far as i'm concerned i find all the information you presented us with all good. just add maby axe to the list of getting more Swords, and i will be happy. i would like to see at least one axe that is good at master level of swordsman, and of course more swords. swords are good, but nothing plain. go for a cool looking sword like a flamberge which is a sword that has a 4 to 5 foot long blade with jagged edges all the way up each side.

I would have to agree that the number 1 issue is all of the moves being practically the same and having no state affects or a knockdown. I feel ripped off.

Wislist Addition:
I would like to see at the very least 2 weapons added to the Novice Heavy Swordsmen list -
A 2-Handed Power Sword that does Electrical damage &
a 2-Handed Power Axe that does Acid Damage or Heat
These two weapons would give us more diversity in our damage types and put us in line with other combat profressions. I blows that a mojority of our weapons only do Kenetic damage which ever critter and NPC in the game has a resistance to.

1. The specials
Basically, make Master SM count for something. Give us unique abilities that make Master SM an achievement with new styles and abilities.
a) Variety

Why only attack styles? Give me options on the following:
· a meditation ability (Kensai ability for focus to improve hit or melee speed on a timer); and/or
· FastDraw ability (to improve hit or melee speed on a timer)
· ImproveWeapon ability (give me an ability to improve my 2H weapon, either resist decay or improve speed/damage. There ought to be a difference a SM can have over sharpening or maintaining his weapon that a Brawler or a dabbler can’t have)
· DUAL-WIELD melee style for MasterSM (I will weep sweet tears if you can get us the ability to wield two 2H curved swords or two 1H weapons or one 2H weapon and one 1H weapon. Really would set us apart. Put all the nerfs on the second weapon like in other games, just give us the ability).
· Weapon styles ought to produce MORE powerful effects when combined in a chain that succeed. For instance, produce a better effect for a Two-Hand Spin Attack that is successful when it is proceeded by a successful Two-Hand Sweep. Make these styles count for something if they’re not going to changed.
b) Wrong descriptions or things not working as described ?

Get rid of the timer. If we can’t kite or snipe from a distance, at least let us tank in melee. Get rid of the timer.
d) Fun factor
Without DoT this class will be useless. It’s not like we can solo high-level mobs with DoT, it’s not an exploit. Don’t let them take away without improving what else is here.
2. HAM cost

Reduce HAM costs, or give us a meditation ability to regen faster, or give us a high-level ability to improve our weapon’s HAM scores.
3. The "Out of range" - issue

Pathetic and appalling. How can the three non-TKA melee classes tank at all with this. We have weapons that are supposed to be nearly 1 meter in length (longer for Pikemen), give us better range or fix this.
4. PvP

I don’t even try, there’s absolutely no way an SM can even enter PvP without being a CH or having TKA abilities. Being an SM restricts you from playing a whole important feature of the game. Which in turn restricts RP’ing since it’s less immersive, etc.
5. General defense / Toughness
Why can’t we defend? If Marksman can have the ability to disarm, why can’t we? Why can’t we “trip” mobs into hurting themselves (not lower posture or knockdown). If we’re experts at a longer weapons than Fencers, why can’t use the weapon’s more as precision instruments to reduce the offensives of opponents without direct damage?
6. Where is the scythe ?

Basically, it’s not a fun class and people don’t want to group with you. Period. I think being the 6th lowest played profession speaks for itself.
10 . Wishlist
· Let me “wear” my weapon – give me a graphic of my weapon scabbarded on my back or at my side that disappears when held for melee. Should not be a big deal to implement, not more encumbrance.
· Give me DUAL-WIELD. This seems so important and neat do I need to justify this? Let me wield two 1H weapons or one 2H weapon and one 1H weapon, but just let me do it.

I tend to agree with most things stated...
I would like to see at least 5-10 new swords being put into action for a start with various powers and damages to rival perhaps the stupid damage done by a commando considering if a big sword landed on your head regardless of who swung it you would not be getting up in a while!
also the specials need a whole new look at, dizzy is useless, lower posture is useless...... Id like to think that a master swordsman could knock an unarmed master off his feet not just get knocked down instantly in pvp by a low lv teras kasi artist!
the ability to withstand damage, and dodge or block in close combat would be great, as it is a total pain to get up close hit for 5k of damage and have a beast turn on you out of a group of people hitting it for 5k a pop, this should be addressed to that we can either withstand more damage or parry, block or just move faster.
as for using 2 swords at once I love the Idea, but I would much prefer to see harder hitting swords and increased benefits from using them rather than being able to use two useless swords..
I really dont think we should be given any sort of meditate as people have stated previously, just let us shine like the effort we have put in..... and perhaps give us the ability to maintain our weapons better than currently becuase, when I try to fix damaged weapons I find that they break alot which is costly and stupid.
the out of range bug is a huge prolem to me as I spend most of my time fighting big beasties and would love to be able to actually hit them sometimes without having to direct myself 1m from them, perhaps a combo system that allowed us to quickly chain 4-5 attacks together with minimal ham loss would be good, maybe even giving us the ability to knock something down and sit on it eh?
area attack 1 2 and 3 seem ok to me, but could perhaps actually hit for what they are supposed to do? ie: render someone blind which should mean they cant see or hit you......as for spin attack I used it a few times and it has no use whatsoever that I can see , it hits for less damage than area 3 and does exactly the same.....if that!
before I started playing swg I wanted to play as a 2 hand swordsman and ch, I have mastered 2 hand and mastered ch, I want some benefits to this proffesion that I love, not being killed instantly in pvp because my target is out of range or I am too weak with a sliced power hammer hitting for 450 with speed of 4.1....... I had a novice tka kill me 5 times in a row before and he had apparently only lv 2 2 1 2, how does that work when u are a master?????????????

Swordsman (and fencers and pikemen) need some elite class weapon enhancements to hunt for.
