Most of the time I go hunting with mind buffs and take a double shot of brandy and I'm good to go with my scythe. Otherwise, without mind buffs I go double shot then an ahrisa and I'm fine. I also have my stats migrated out to keep mind costs low.

yea i wouldnt use a scythe on anything in pve except for the occasional mob with higher blast than kinetic resistance. the ph's mind cost is so minimal most times it doesnt cost anything.
if you really wanna use a scythe you may wanna look into buying crates of mind powerups which will reduce the mind cost by 33%.
Noooooo!! you silly person, powerup's kills the condition dont do it!! not to a scythe for goodness sake. you should be using 2 brandy, 2 arisha (3 if needed) if you still got issues then take a musician buff, if that isnt enough then you must be a diseased wookie
yea, i wouldnt notice the condition problem. pve- 20% of my time, pvp- 80% of my time.

I have yet to find anyone thathas done an actual study on power-ups. I've read several reports of people that did tests, and they pretty well debunk the idea that power-ups degrade a weapon faster. You can use a weapon more often with attack speed pups, which will degrade it, and there may be a relation between damage dealt and degrading, so that might make a difference, but a reduced mind cost pup won't affect the condition of your weapon at all. I've seen a lot of people say "Power-ups degrade it faster!" but when pressed, they just feel that way. The "No they don't!" faction has run the tests.
It would be pretty simple - get 2 identical items from a crafter. Toss a mind power up. Go outsdie Mos Eis. Shoot worts and keep track.
I'd say 200 or so shots from each weapon would be a good guide. Just count them up, and compare durability....

yeah, mitigate stats, and also take a look at your helmet. If you're PvEing you don't need the extra resistances so go for a non triple layeredencumbrance sliced helmet. Some smiths sell it already sliced, and then you can just pick an encum sliced one, otherwise it might cost you some more.

Why Dont You Just Get Mind Buffs?
don't know what server you are on, but its a pain in the ass to get them on bloodfin... always afk, and doesn't help that i'm on dial-up and lag behind a few seconds

I don't wear my full suit of comp, only head/chest/boots/gloves (Hope the combat revamp changes that), and had my mind migrated to 600/500/500 to able to take it off and put it back on w/o buffs. Then I double swig the brandy (filling has to be 50 or lower), and if my mind is too low,I take one canape.

if u wanna keep that mind up then isugest u visit an image disigner. if ur human race get that mind like 1100 mind 800 focus 1100 wilpower
now use brandy's and canpe's and u macro with an scythe for as long as the food takes.
i would suggest, ( what i use ) 1100, 1100 , and whatever is left goes into the third one, and get music/dancer buffs, <- make sure to do this AFTER doc buffs seeing as they only last 2 hours........ makes the game a ton easier.........

I've yet to find a place on infinity where it's standard you're able to get a mind buff from entertainers. Anyway, find some brandy with 400+ stats and have two of those, with my current focus of 400, this gives a cost of about 20 mind. If this is still too much or maybe higher for you, eat a Canape, those gives additional focus and you'll usually be able to eat three to whatever meets your need, which is 1500 focus for zero mind cost.

I have had no problem killing things with scythes.
I take two brandy and use two-handed hit 3. Enraged Rancors go down with ease, and I don't take much of a hit to my mind. Regenerates between Lairs.
I don't use macros either,I prefer to manage the attacks myself. And can switch to a different attack quicker if the situation changes.
