You don't even have to be a Doc at all. Sure you can get buffs elsewhere. I ama Master Swordsman and Master Medic and I can solo Elders all day long. Make sure you have full mind buffs and brandy and canapes. I use Intimidate/Warcry/Mindhit2/Headhit3 and use a ton of Stim D's and do fine. You might want to have Dizzy stims on you also. I can also solo Krayts and GDK and whatever else. Good luck!

I like arisha and brandys. (arisha is food and lasts 45 mins (at least the stuff i buy does). this way you don't have to wait for your stomach to empty. Getting mind buffs helps alot also. (musician for sure) . Keeping a muon for the elders that use a power hammer headhit on you wouldn't be bad either.
But like the other guy said the rifleman would have outdamaged you, I never tank for ranged. If you are by yourself and you don't have her down to half, then just give up and move on to the next. (even though I can solo elders, I usually group with a rifleman friend for this reason, and they go down alot faster)
