armor? full mind buffs? i find that a center of being macro drastically changes the chances of being KD'd. and what kind of weapon was the elder holding? if it has a hammer or scythe or pike i always leave it alone.

you need music and dance buffs badly it sounds like. and maybe better armor. say 80% base at least w/ stun layer over 20%

I've solo'd a couple elders, but i found out about two days ago that elders have the abililty to spawn with stun dmg. look at the combat menu and my armor (being only vuln to stun) was completely bypassed.

I don't think i can think of a harder thing in this game to solo than a NS elder doing stun damage...

she had a cleaver and i was wearin 80% kinetic, but next time i'll get mind buffs

still, the damn rifleman outdamaged me because I was busy healing the bleeds all the time (took about 4 tries each)

Sounds like you were tanking for a stranger (personally, I would have ran towards him and asked if he could hold him while I healed, but thats mean )

Cleavers are Medium AP, which is never good, but you should also think of getting some synthsteak to reduce the damage if your taking a beating

Well i decided to try my hand at it, and my hand didnt work too well...

Once I found one, I started attackin in, kept it intim, and some rifleman/TKA was shootin it

I spent most of my time healing states, damage,and bleeds until my mind got too low, so i got the rifleman in between her and me and peaced out

I waited until my mind was full again, and returned and started beating on her again

THen she ran into a group of spell weavers/protectors/sentines and I got incapped but not killed when the elder was at 876 out of 371,000 mind

and the rifleman looted it.

what did I do wrong? Im master swords/ doc 3200 atm

And I was using stim E's and dizzy/intim packs btw

and brandied up/thakatillo for KD

and no this is not a template question, its a strategy question lol

hmmm you should do just fine.....CANAPE is your friend..your doc you can heal so good dont worry, i you get a big bleed warcry heal bleed/iintim/intim/heal bleed and so on till done...

mind buffs help alot, but if you see your mind goin take a canape and if you have to a muon. do not worry about healing blind or dizzy or any states just takes to long and you dont have alot of def so youll just get stated again

and personally i take a snow cake for accuacy..low filling and lasts a good while, even when blind rarley miss

if you get kd, dizzy run a stand/heal dizzy macro and it works great.

the lva, two hand ones hit harder but its a nicer challenge

also do keep her intimidated and also try to get a 90% helm with engergy in special protection so you get kinetic at 90%

Also rifle is quite a bit easier to speed cap than 2h, so the rifleman was probably speed capped, and having just gotten master sword, you are not. Big damage difference.

Yeah, I actually did get the aggro on the dude when my mind ghot low, and he had to run away after a few minutes... but he kept comin back

but anyways, yeah next time i'll bring some synthsteak, canape, and be mind-buffed, thanks

ok finally after dropping Ranger /cry;/sniff

I finished my template and tried the acid test... soloing an elder.

I think my template is fine would like more def vs. dizzy

Went after her w/ full set of mind buffs and regular buffs. I got her down to 2/3 mind the first time and had to burst run as my mind was just about drained. I recouped my mind and went back this time i faired slightly better got her down to about 1/2 mind but my mind was in much worse shape than hers... burst run. The second encounter i did well only 2 bleeds which i got healed up and 2 blinds which i fought through.

My question is this how do you manage your food and drink intake... what do you use and when... i have always been a woof down brandy and ahrisa kinda guy and i guess that wont work anymore.

oh and template: Mswords Mbrawler fencer 0440 pike 0040 TK 4000 medic 2040 combat prowess 0002

3x80 comp so armor is good

why didnt you go back and fight the same ones once you healed?

Oh and my tried and failed method is to take as much brandy as possible

which ill still try when im mind buffed on my next attempt

I tried to keep her targeted but no luck she poofed
