I have been aTKM and its boring as hell, you can only do lame mobs (because of kinetic) Then I decided to take a shot at master swordsman........DAMN!!! This class kicks ass, blast damage is shiz. I am an avid fan of hunting NS elders, good way to kill 30 minutes. So i would have to say that M. Swords is by far the best class for pve.

If swordsman is the king of pve. Why do I find myself doing 2-3x the damage with tk and faster?
I got two handed to grind with tk for FS xp. Swordsman is just to damn slow period. You shouldn't need 50 mil in frickin attachments to be that fast.
Lets see i hit anwhere from 900-3k with my 3.9 speed 480 dmg PH every 2.5 seconds or so. With vks i hit over 2k a second standing and when kd i can get 3.5-4k dmg on stuff.
Which has the higher dot?

You had a speed-sliced PH and that doesnt deal as much. I have a 600 PH and I can deal 3-4k of damage per head hit 3. So I would say...even with the speed that we have...we have the higher dot. Thanks.

Now granted you have other damage types such as blast which helps. I still findmyself doing better with tk on NS Stalkers/Sent/Spellweavers/Protectors etc.
First of all...A swordsman will not use a ph for grinding...in most cases a sword will fit the needs better...its faster and has higher accuracy....i´m master brawler/swords/tka and leveling for fs....i can cap 2h within 30mins. at the geno cave....as a tka my best was about 55min till cap....
and i doubt that u outdamage a swordsman on nightsister...i killed so many lessernightsister like weavers, protectors, sentinals, rangers and stalkers...its much faster doing it as a swordsman cuz i can drainthe mindpool down with high damage(HH3 with 3,5 multi)...tka has no special attack with high multi to drain a single ham-pool so it takes much more time to take them down....and keep in mind as a swordsman i´ll hit with ap2...

ive been fencer, tkm and master swordsman. Simple enough Fencer and TKM are extremly similar as they are speedy and are mainly gained for their defense mods. Im going back thru swordsman to get master again and im loving it already when im only at 2442. The AP2, Blast damage and direct mind pool hits owns. Hitting every two seconds with only +75 speed is ok at the min with a PH but with master, FS melee speed and some skill tapes you are unstoppable.

Actually saying rifleman is screwed if they take melee agro that is not necessarly true. On test I played around with rifleman as main then chose then mixed and matched other professions to max defense for rifle. I stood toe to toe with giant krayt beating on me while I shot it with t21 though sliced I did not have pu on it.
I was able to solo it with very few heals to myself in about 20 mins. I did this to 3 spawns of the giant krayt in a row. Not once was I anywhere near in danger of being incaped or killed.
To those who think the fact that at point blank range mod is -90 and there should have lots of misses not so. With master marksman in the mix master rifle gets 170 in range mods best in game.
but as for who is better in pve on ar2 swordsman better 99% of the time but on ar3 mobs rifle is king. Swordsman may be able to kill an elder in 30 mins but rifleman with half a brain should be able to kill in about 5 to 6 mins.
The trouble is most before starting never bothered to add up defense mods and by time they realised mistake most end up saying screw it.

With TKM, you can meditate : stop poison, bleed, disease, powerboost, heal yourself from an incap ^^ and heal wound !!!!
With TKM, you can hit body, leg and head : head hit is not better than the swordman head hit but he's very fast
Also, you can KD, dizzy and with swordman, you can only change posture, or KD if you are master brawler.
So, in pve, TKM and Swordman are very powerful (with a buff) but with TKM it's longer than swordman to kill a mob
In pvp, i think swordman is the best cuz with a good scythe or a good PH, some hit and you're opponent is dead ^^
If you can, try do master TKM and Swordman ^^ (and why not fencer -> stun damage (love it) )
note : TKM : kinetic, SW : kinetic and blast

TKM is fast action. You could dish out attack after attack quickly. It is fun to wash and a lot more interaction, since the moves are fast.
Swordman dishes out more damage due to they have other flavors of damge than TKM. Most mob now a days have high resistance against kinetic. Thus, swordman could use blast damage among others. However, swordman are slow and dishing out attacks are slow too. Another downside is their accuracy are pretty wack too.
I think having both would be ideal for most situation. You could use swordman to dish out damage than switch to TKM to finish them off if it is taking too long?
Someone mentioned to me the best template is actually a flavor of everything. A little fencer to add the additional defense, master brawler, master swordman, and some TKA for meditation and self healing. Novice medic to that so you could stimpack. Add a few tapes to two-handed and you will rock.
Just a thought.

i am master TKA and master Swordsman. Swordsman is better for PvP definitely. As someone said before, at the geo caves a guy can cap out on 2hand XP in 30 mins., while it takes almost twice as long to do the same with TKA. That right there shows who deals the most damage in the shorter amount of time. Especially if you're taking on big mobs, swordsman spin attack seems quite a bit more effective then TKA spin attack. I would pick up both though as I still often switch between the 2. Also pick up MBrawler. Intim. 2 and the Lunge 2's are nice, plus the extra +5's to most your melee stats. I'm maybe gonna pick up some fencer for defenses too....that's more for PvP though. Just my 2 cents.

I was a Master Swordsman/TKM/Master Brawler/Fencer before my current template. I only used TKM for meditation and powerboost. It just doesn't even come close to Swordsman damage-wise.

tka ap1 (kinetic dmg)
Swords > Tka: PVE wise, and i'd wager PVP-wise as well
I was TKAm for a long time, but it's nowhere near as effective as swords.
