Mind already is a healable pool. CM's are just too busy throwing their overpowered poisons, to worry about healing people's minds.

The original way this worked on TC was that all HAM costs were unhealable. They basically lowered your maximum for that stat. The lower your max the faster it would regen.
Whether or not this is the way the new system will work I don't have a clue. They removed it from TC because it actually made spamming specials easier. I would still expect something similar though.
I completely expect mind to be healable by stims in the future. It was in beta and the only reason why it doesn't now is that you could heal indefinately now. When you heal you would be healing the penalty. If my first sentence is accurate to the way it will be, that dmg won't be healable and therefore no reason to not have stims heal the mind.
While I haven't played many of the other ranged chars(dabbled in pistol and rifle a long time ago) does rifleman do that poor of dmg that if mind would be healable they would be useless?
At the moment I just don't see how a pistoleer or carbineer could do anything assuming people do heal in duels. Riflemen have 1sec delays on T21s and still do amazind dmg. IMO swordsman would be a little lower on the dmg side but I guess I have faith that all the dmg will be evened out with HAM costs with the new system. Maybe that is being extremely hopeful.

The thing that usually ended battles was the mind pool running out and peopelr were incapped because of that. What will happen now is someone will buff their mind with brandy 2 times, they will get intoa fight and continualy heal, as no specials will be going on their mind it will regenerate while they fight. so we will have battles as long as the brand will last, on our server that a filling of 49 and +403, so u can have 2 of them a the same time.+ 806 to all mind stats.
Still ive heard powerhammers are pritty good so u can use a good one of them i guess
im still gonna go swordsman i think.

i think we are jumping the gun a little bit about the nerf. you know we will get new moves and dmg pools to replace the mind moves we are losing. who knows, after this, we might have to be nerfed because they made out area kd/bleed on action too strong, just an example

ok, i'm all for fights lasting longer and all that. But, how do you take down a buffed doc who has music buffs and is armored? Not gonna be with a sword or hammer if you can't hit the mind. If he has 3k health and action and armor he can heal himself faster than you can incap him. Forget the secondaries, his ability to heal for almost 2k will keep him alive in a duel indeffinitely.

Read my post above. I do not believe that they are taking a way mind targeting. That would not fit with what they are proposing in making all damage equal. Also, a doc will not be able to heal himself indefinitely, because heals take away from mind. And with the upcoming HAM changes, HAM costs, including those involved with healing, will come from the max of the pool rather than being assessed as damage. That means that he will no longer be able to heal damage as a result of HAM usage from using specials. Yes, he will be able to heal the damage you do, but not the damage he does to himself. That will bea big difference all around.

I still have this gut feeling that HAM costs after the ham changes are going to make us dead meat faster than anything.... even buffd out... we have the nastiest ham costs in the game ... therefore were gonna be the fastest to die in PvP. even with heals and drugs. 3 Whacks with our sythe tears up an action pool perty bad... with power hammers its health... So even after we wunk someone in the head 3times they heal right back up and we just did what? ...65 mind damage due to his heal??
After we just took 300+ to our health (unhealable)... FROM OUR OWN WEAPON.
So what do we get other than the poop end of the stick???

You guys want fights to last longer? Heh.
I've been in duels that have lasted over 30 minutes.
It's already hard enough for us to kill an armored opponent. If battles last longer than they do, then it will make it even easier for ranged players to kite us to death, cause it's hard as hell to stay on their tails for very long.
Plus, taking our mind damage away will give fencers a MASSIVE advantage over us, because not only can they dizzy/KD and stun, they can use stun batons (acklay ones are especially nasty) that cut through armor like butter.
I really hope that we're just misunderstanding what they were trying to say, and that they're not really **edit** slapping us like we are dreading...

From TH post it was my understanding that since the use of special ability will lower the mind bar intead of damaging it, they will be able to implement "mind healing" stimpack without having an infinite loop (burn the mind, use a stimpack to raise it.. rince and repeat. Infinite power generation). Thus the part about removing mind as a special damage type.
It will be a nerf for all rifleman/swordman, but it will be good for the game.

It will be a nerf for all rifleman/swordman
Actually, it's past the point of nerfing...they already did that the last two patches. It's more like Sony's pullin' down our panties and givin' us a triple coc* slap, then makin's us squeel like a pig.
But again, there is at least one good thing coming from this, as I mentioned in my first post...

Hmmm thats also a good point FOR not hitting the mind bar... It would make fights last longer and more fun... If this ends up the case then it doesnt seem so bad......... but I dunnoOOooo the devs are on drug binges right now and the new bugs that theyre making are gonna blow.
