Ladies and gentlemen, Vince is only trying to sabotage fencer as a class. my changes are not radical, and if anyone has bothered to read through the thread, you will find I reconsidered the focal point vince tries to make, that being a MASTER level weapon being AP 2 - I conceded this is too powerful LONG BEFORE anyone from this forum visited there, and decided to change the status to AP 1. Keep in mind I put forth the proposal as a work in progress, not a final say so. Thus, treat all further posts by vince as an act to troll the fencer forums. Your cooperation is appreciated, and if you wish to propose your own master level weapon to the devs, I will wholeheartedly support it, so long as it has the checks and balances to maintain such a weapon stays in the hands of masters.

Honestly, i can see an AP2 for a fencer. However, I would expect to see this with the approximate damage of a CDEF pistol or the speed of a looted rifle (8ish) or both. Simple- stabbing someone with a long, narrow sword can find weaknesses in armor, but it's going to be a slow attack (due to the principles of lunging and putting in enough force to drive the point through the weak point in the armor), and not very powerful, but cause while you're piercing the armor, it's like getting stabbed by a pencil- it's gonna hurt like a mo fo, but it prolly won't kill you.....unless you get lead.....er.....graphite poisoning

There is no fear in dying. Dying without honor, now that is something to fear.

What lot of people fail to see is that all combat profs can't be the same cause that would defeat the point of there being a choice between them.. you have weak damage but pro defences.. we have the opposite. We're good PvE but not so hot PvP.

If every combat prof could do the same thing/deal the same damage/have as good defences/attack poweras each other then there would be little point in having different combat profs.
