I lvl'd from 2 handed IV to Novice in about 1 and a half hours. Just stuffed my face on food buffs and took out Mountian worrt missions, they dont group aggro and are sooooo easy its unreal! Just make sure you power up your curved sword and chop away!

Heh, I leveled to Master almost exclusively at Fort Tusken since the day I got the hammer...throw in a few odd trips to the Squill cave, but mostly Tusken.

I got 2hand sword 1-4 in less then an hour and almost got novice in the next hour. One pet did it, my uber cl53 bio graul and killing rancors on dantooine or archane webmasters on endor.

Armor i don't need no stinkin armor.

I never get doctor or entertainer buffs, never will
I never use spice or food, never will
I will however use the TKA buff I give myself

i recently rolled up my jedi hopeful toon... and my first holo was swordsman.

char wasa start from scratch toon... on a server i don't play on.

my recommendations is to run harvestors for lok wheat or dant berries. excellent residual income. never worry about armor or weapons again.

as far as how to get to novice... either group on Dathomir or Dantooine. or get a decent set of Armor... ideas for that. would be to cruise the bazarre for degraded armor people have discarded. i've found 60-80% composite and decent 50-60 or so ubese... for dirt cheap. just takes awhile and matching a suit is more difficult. but an entire suit of armor for 20k isn't bad either.

in the time it takes to burn off 5-10k worth of durability on second hand armor.. you'll be at swordsman, or if you take my advice on the lok wild wheat harvesting. be able to afford your own set of brand new armor.

as far as getting to swordsman. get buffs. full set of doctor. and look into entertainer buffs. pop some Muon or even track down a chef. ...and go to Dant. i find hurton huntress lairs to be moderately challenging. and yet still manageable.

3.5k exp per kill... can burn through to novice swordsman no prob. grouping is even easier. running picket missions with a decent group can get you nice exp returns if you're buffed well enough to spam specials without stopping.

but definately recommend buffs and armor... for the fast track to swordsman. ...easier to do it killing lower level stuff. but it'll take much longer.

I did my novice swordsman on Naboo with no armor....

Head to a spot u know has sentry hermit spiders (last heaven or theed worked for me) hit the lair til around 7 are on u then use spin attack u get 400 to 600 2-handed xp for each and there is usualy around 25 in a lair plus the queen (it takes no more than 5 min to take out an entire lair), just make sure u have some good stim-b's u can do it in 3-4 hours if u are lucky to find enough lairs (i did)

Well, I got to novice Swordsman basically in one night just by going out and smashing things around my hometown on Tatooine. Feral banthas...LOVE THEM...1100 xp each, I can take down 5 of them at a time. Then I moved up to dune lizards, 1400 xp each. I took out a whole lair's worth of dune lizards alone, no pet, no companions--just run in past them and drag a couple out, kill, go back for more. The lair gave 3000 xp too. Then bocatts, 2300 xp each. Dragonets too, although they have higher kinetic resists, but they give 3300 xp each. I estimate that I got 100k xp last night off this combination of creatures.

I am a doctor, so I buff myself, but I don't wear armor. I do have a +14/+14 intimidation/warcry shirt and it REALLY helps to lay intimidation down on the critters before smashing them (big-time reduction to the damage they do to you). I have a speed-sliced 2H curved sword that I just love, and I put + damage powerups on it when I have them. I did use some muon as well, when I took on the dragonets.

I hate Fort Tusken, personally, because it's laggy and spammed and full of uber doods. And I like the challenge of killing things on my own, although probably it's a bit slower. It's satisfying in a way that the Fort is not.

I am a holo-grinder swordswoman, but so far I just love it. Banging things with my sword is SO fun
