Has anyone been able to dizzy a mob then knock them down yet since patch?

I've been noticing dizzy isn't hitting as often and haven't been able to knock a mob down yet with it.

Personally, I haven't really been impacted with the timer on our posture changes, though I still think that making knockdown which had a huge timer and something with 2 seconds run off the same penalty timer is pretty dumb, doesn't make sense. I only ever used posture change attacks to get a mob off me so I can transfer agro to the pet.

30 seconds is too long for KD, even.

Even PvP, with the 75% damage reduction, is still SHORTER than 30 seconds (unless you are doing carbine/riflemen fights).

it should be at most 3 times the length of knockdown for a timer.

I'm not really that worried about KD, more like worried about Posture change.

Posture change can be gone in nearly an instant, but gets stuck with the long 30 second in PvP.

In PvE, the mobs go down for around 2 (or 3) seconds, then come back up. However, the wait is like ten times long. Like I said, at most three times.

Now, we are just simple fragile punching bags.

Jirimar I could solo a baz nitch lair (I believe at master sword they con yellow but I was doing it as just a Cleaver before too) just spamming Area Attack 3 and 1 over and over, the posture change would effectively keep them from hitting you completely for the most part.

Even worse were humanoid camps where the humans were packed close together. The Area Attack 3 has a dizzy side effect that spells doom for any humanoid opponent.

I think in your case you were just using the wrong styles. I rarely ever used the Head Hits or Mind Hits unless it was me against one extremely tough opponent where I needed that edge.

However after yesterday I won't be able to do things like I did, but I'm not upset in the least. As I said, I knew it was coming and was looking forward to changing tactics.

Master swordsman here and the posture change timer has a huge effect on my ability to fight. I cannot keep NPCs with a ranged attack to hold still so I can attack them. They kite me. I had to stop doing destroy missions and switch to delivery.

Swordsman can deal alot of damage but only under certain circumstances. First we have to get with in melee range of our target and second we have to prevent the target from running away.

Now the narrow set of conditions under which we can fight has been reduced. We cannot hit moving targets and am spending half of my fights now chasing mobs like a moron. Previously half the challenge was getting into melee range with out taking enough damage to swing the fight. Now it makes no difference if are able to get into range, the target just leaves.

A timer on posture changes for PvE just does not work.

Jirimar, after drinking two tatooine sunburns and eating something to compensate for the focus loss, I was able to take on many reds at once. There was an incident on dantooine where I was rushedfrom every direction (even some non-aggros happened to get within range of my area attack). I kept spamming area attack 1, and when it was all over I had taken out 7 huurtons, 2 pikets and a Mokk. All red.

After getting area attack 2 and 3 this was even more powerful. With the right buffs I could take on 10 pikets at a time with no problem. I always rushed the lair and started spamming my area attack, since I wanted as many to attack me at once as possible. After getting area attack 2 I was able to get over a million two-handed xp in about4-6 hours. I also made over 200k credits from the missions.

So yeah, we were asking for it. I just wish they would have reduced the chance to posture down, but allowed us to keep the style. At this point it is useless.

I carried Tatooine Sunburn and Ryshcake (makes up for the focus loss and grants a bit of str and qui). With the effects from one dose of each, I could SPAM styles with my power hammer with manageable ham costs. Baz Nitch lairs were easy, Pumba lairs (22 to 25k mission) were easy, etc...

The money train left me behind!

My feelings exactly. They screwed us and if you think we got it bad, my bro is almost a master Pike. He gets killed by blues now. He is going to cancel and so will I if they don't fix this in the next week.

Plain and simple they should have left melee alone and only applied this to range.
