Ok figured out how they are getting the higher damage, You get close to double damage if the opponet is knocked down or prone. so 7k with 2hand hit3, and 14k while the opponet is on his back with 2hand hit3.

Unless the weaponsmith is blessed with the bestest colat iron ever, or is just sloppy, a 2HCS should always be significantly faster than a cleaver. Of course, if your speed gets really high, that may not matter.

You're right about the cleaver doing more average damage per hit though.

Well I got it from a good weaponsmith (I always see people in his shop) and I got it sliced so it's down to 2.6 which is faster then what I see alot of people around me using with their 2h curved swords. And yes I know that a curved should be faster but the higher minimum damage seems to make up for that.

2.6 ? mine was 2.5 after slice.... plus has 70-292damage.... not sure about you but that's a good sword

and that's not even the best!!! i've seen some in 1.9speeds with like 82-301 damage !!! sorry but no cleaver can see those stats.

Keep a 2h curved with you and a power hammer. You may not like the power hammer but sometimes it's the only thing that will work well.

When you are a master you can use a power hammer, but before that its probably not worth it. Even at master the power hammer is not a definitively superior weapon because it misses quite a bit. There will be some times that you may want to use the power hammer to try for huge bleeds or maybe even a one-hit kill in pvp if your opponent is wielding a rifle, but you will stillprefer your curved 2h sword in some instances like for fighting multiple ranged npcswhere its important to *reliably* eliminate one or two of them quickly before they send you to the cloning center with their gang damage. If you are going to choose only one weapon to use all of the time, then it should be a curved 2h swordNOT a power hammer.

I'm using power hammer in PvE Vs huge mob .. to cause massive bleeding.

In PvP the only way to use a power hammer is Vs a Pet, for the same "bleeding" reason, but is almost useless Vs kiting player.

I'm trying w/ a guild's Master Weaponsmith, to find the best 2handed curved for PvP (less action ham - more dmg/speed), sliced in dmg w/ power up 30% action cost 15%max damage.

In this way i can obtain a 225@3sec 26-54-28 + 15%max damage + dmg slice (30-40%).

Result in a 345@3sec 26-38-28 ... a very good "catching kiting ppls weapon" ... and grand huge damage too (as bleeding in PvP around 400-500).

For the power hammer i've two different configuration ... one all sperimented in speed 4.5sec and another one to grant massive damage all sperimented in dmg (620dmg max w/ power-up and slice)

But i've to test the PH better.

man you guys are freaking crazy not you use your PH in pvp you wanna see some funny **edit** run into the middle of a group of people and start ae3'ing with a ph (while buffed) i made a game outta it couple times see how many i could incapp =P lol my ph is 620 max dmg most every mind3 hit i do in pvp is a 1 shot sometimes i hit low but hell most the time i kill people in 1 shot

My 2handed curved is 80-338 with 2.1 speed. I use it mainly for PvE so I can hit quickly for headhit 3. I use the Power Hammer sometimes while grouped. It's a 74-456, 4.2.

I'm a Novice with 1 Box that gives Mind Hit 2 and 2 of the combat XP boxes.

My Power Hammer is -32 To Hit, 130-500ish (At work so cant check) and 4.6 Speed (Sliced).

With Mind Hit 2 i average 1000-2500, and ocasionally pull in 2800+. Mind Bleeds usually hit for 2000+.

I only hit about 80% of the time though, but still quite good. Also, since i only have to hit most things a few times before they die the wear and tear on my weapon is really low.

I expect once i hit master i will hit 90% of the time for 5000+. I can't wait.

Overall I LOVE MY POWER HAMMER. I used to have trouble with even Borvos Thugs before (Unless i used my pets), now i can Solo a Borvo Champion is a few hits. It's great! Can't wait to try a Damage powerup on it tonight.

Perhaps you are not certified. in any case I score 3000 dmg rather regularly, against all types of targets. I can kill stormtroopers in 2 hits. I am not kidding. the highest I scored was 3628dmg against a grecks henchmen. I switch to cleaver to do area attack it works better in that and score around 2400 max with it against most of the targets in the area.

I do 2500 dmg on avg with my PH. For the past few days, I havent even used my 2H curved sword. It doesnt work so well in PvP though, its just too slow.

The Cleaver is the better weapon. It has better HAM costs and although slower has higher damage. Once speed mods are taken into account the Cleaver is by far superior to the Curved (which just caps out anyway). The HAM cost on the Curved are horrible, so that's a big part of it.
