Thread: Elders and Stun Batons
Do you use CoB? Intimidation?
Elders cause 2 things... Boredom and shreaded armor.
I'm not sure what's causing you to die so quick. Seems like with what you posted you should stop fighting them if you cant win. The Devs have stated many times that people are soloing a hell of a lot more things than they were "supposed to".
I think Elders would fit into that catagory.

That's the point of high-end groupfocused content, you need a group where the key professions are filled (healing, tanking & damagedealing).
This is very sad. SWG is turning into everquest, where you need to have 3 key classes in your group before you can be efficient : a tank, a healer , and a slower/mezzer . We are not there yet, but it is coming.
I thought SWG was great because you could do pretty much anything by yourself. Now I started worrying when they introduced the silly super battle droids with the corvette, and the the DWB.
Having to set up a group or to be lfg before you can do anything serious is no fun imo.
Sorry but your completely wrong and its because you are still too new to the game to know what the game was really meant for. SWG was never meant to be the solo everything game it is now......the reason this happened was the Devs felt they needed to rebalance all professions and creatures. So following their plan they first balanced the creatures nerfing them completely. At the time it wasn't that big of an issue because buffs and armor sucked back then so we weren't able to solo everything. Groups were needed back then to be able to handle anything really big, heck it use to take groups of 10-20 to take on Krayts back then or a few AT-STs.
However with fixes to armor and buffs getting better and better and the Combat Balance getting pushed further and further back, we are now in a game where you can just about to solo anything. Sorry but it never was like this in the beginning and was never meant to become like this so I'm glad they are finally making it back to what it use to be.
