Ive heard of two main things that people do,
1. Goto dantooine, get quenker missions (this is what i did) or....
2. Once u get the speed line(I'll tell u more of this later) goto endor and kill anything that moves
As for weapons, I used a curved sword until i got the speed bonuses in the tech line, then used the power hammer until master.
For which trees to go up: I first got the first box in defense for the spin attack, it was VERY useful, then went up techniques line for the speed bonus, after this, u can either get the rest of the defense line or the offense line, i personally did the defense, so in other words: go 0,0,1,x first, then 0,4,1,x; then 0,4,4,x; then finish the offense line and you should be able to get the combat xp line while grinding the rest of the trees(thats what the "x" stands for)
Hope that helps ![]()

I am working my way up Pikeman at the moment (because I will be so uber when I combine it with Carbineer and some Squad Leader....) and I found that the crazed gurreck missions on Endor were better xp than the savage quenkers (and endor is lag free, unlike Dant). I don't know whether they would be as good with swordsman but it might be worth checking out.
With savage quenkers (me grouped with a pet which remains at the outpost) I would get about 3800xp per quenker. 2 quenkers per spawn, for a total of 6 quenkers (max - often they would spawn babies), which gives 22,800xp max.
The gurrecks would give me 3500xp per kill, but there are 3 per spawn, for a max of 9 (and it seemed to spawn fewer babies). This gives 31,500xp per lair. Also I found that the gurrecks would only rarely gang up on me unless I started hitting the lair. It was just as quick, if not quicker, for me to kill a gurreck as opposed to a quenker.
The only disadvantage with endor is the lack of player cities (and hence trainers), but once you are in a position to store a large amount of xp, for example when you have reached the 4th box in any skill tree, it might be better to go to endor and just cap your xp, then go back to Theed and train up.
Just a thought
