Thread: what do i need to kill NS elders

What are the stats on the NS elders? What makes them so hard? Its pretty easy to last on Force crystal hunters, all they are big tanks. Buffs and armor, no problem. The only thing that will kill you is your self. But I came up with my own answer. And acklay powerhammer or Curved-sword(for the speed).

The 3 elders I ran into Saturday were 350k - 380k ham, and 100% resists to everything except blast, energy, and restraint (which were all at 25%).

Man you guys are lucky. The elder I killed last night had 440k ham. And all I got was a sucky vibro-axe.

Most elders are around 330k ham, might have been axkva min you were fighting. As far as loot goes, you are probably better off fighting protectors or killing mobs on the corvette. Elders take about 15-30 mins each to drop, and you aren't guranteed to get anything juicy from them. I've killed a ton of em and the best thing I've looted is a set of exceptional vibro motors that I used to make some 196 dam 1.8s knucklers. Most of the time I end up with some crappy nightsister lance and a trip to a local armor store to replace a busted up piece.

I agree, elders are not worth the time to solo. I solo them every so often, probably done 15-20 solo during my time in the game, and never gotten anything good off of one. I have however gotten some really good stuff off of other nightsisters, of course I've killed thousands of those (did about 180 today infact).
If you happen to have another swordsman or rifleman with you however, elders go down fairly quickly. Myself and my rifleman friend can take out an elder in about 5 minutes when im hitting her head and hes shooting her head. Still doesn't change the fact that I've never looted anything cool off them.
