Thread: what do i need to kill NS elders

What professions/armor/weaponry would i need to solo NS elder Im doing swordsman at the moment and i don't wanna be lame and use conceal shot to kill them so could someone tell me if it is possible to melee solo them and how i would do that (what armor i would need e.g 80% kin, what profs i would need e.g master fence master swords tka 4004 and medic, and what weapon i would use preferably 2 handed sword weapon)
if someone could tell me that would be great (im sick of carbines

good kinnetic armor... buffs... brandy/canape/muon as needed.... a good dmg power hammer(powerups optional but recommmended)... use intimidate all the time...stim when needed... should drop in about 30 mins.. lol

dude, take my advice and don't bother.
ive killed 8, alone it takes forever, and the pussies run too once they hit about 25k ham left.
ive not looted anything good at all. stick with the normal NSs, in my experience rangers and spell weavers drop something more often than not and besides tons of lances i even got a sweet skill attachment (from a ranger)

I agree... sometimes.. its just not worth the decay on ur weapons and armor.... the other night i killed 2 elders and got 749 credits off one.... and 10 hvy duty clasps off the other...
Unfortunately... im lookin for good looted pikeman toys... so.. im stubborn and hope that i'll get a good drop off of one of them.. /shrug

use states. (intimidate, dizzy) for dizzy, i throw in an areaattack3
keep the mind-bleed on her
head-hit3 only
Center of balance
throw in a warcry when i need to heal (so i dont get attacked while not being able ot attack back)
i use just 70% kinetic ubese, but I have to watch out because it lowers condition a lot. I dont like to solo them because of that huge drop in condition in expensive armor (on bria ubese=200k a set comp=500k a set) for less than amazing loot.

Kill protectors, 50k ham and you can use your scythe on them. I've gotten more good lva's and lances from them than anything else (including edlers)

Oh and to take elders - you need to be a master brawler / master swordsman (not required but HIGHLY recommended) / novice medic / owner of a set of knetic ubese armor.
Spam headhit3 and keep intimidate2 on her. Your amor will take care of the rest. Heal when needed (if needed). It's not really complicated, elders don't do anyththing but punch and kick since they are bugged.

From what I hear they got their force powers back man. I haven't fought one since then, but I hear the used to be h o l y terrors when they did have them.

well, i killed em planty AFTER publish 8 and they do NOT have force powers. Even if they did, Composite armor has "restraint" defense. This is an armor against the force I believe.

Ha ha. 270k? more like 27k, Doing 200-300 per hit. It still is annoying and I hate it, but yet I wont stop until I get at least 1 crystal

As long on were the killing stuff as swordsman topic... Is there a faster way to kill those god damnned force crystal hunters?? 80% resistance to everything and in under a week they brought my scythe down to 600, no more force powers so all you need is kinetic. I've killed alot and siese to loot anything.. Not crystals, holocrons, no skill tapes/armor attachment, clothing, rarely any money, or the transmissions. The last crystal I got was from the scythe quest. I saw what looked like a tka, pikeman, swordsman, Work the (insert 4 letter word for poop) out of like 4. And there I was Half way through my first as he continues to kill more. Any help?

Basically the same as the "how I do elders" thread (target a single ham pool), except for the dizzy. The elder doesn't dizzy but the crystal hunter does. Except for that, it's just a matter of holding out long enough to get the job done.
