average damage is more reliable cause.. well its average =P

otherwise a laser rifle would be godly (although its min damage is only 15)...

and i personally think it is definitely worthed to pay twice as much for 50% increase..

and to pay twice that much for another 25% increase =)

bought my 63-233/1.7 for 40k.... bought my old one (63-233/2.0) for 20k...

and am i glad i spent that 40k =)

Just throwing my support in for a scaled cost increase for benefit. My current weapon is 56-239 speed 1.9. I paid 10k for the base and another 2k to slice it (had to try a couple of swords to get sub 2.0 :smileywink. I would GLADLY pay 50k for a weapon that had the same damage range but a speed of 1.7. This game is all about damage over time -- those specials will kill you just as surely as a tough mob. Maximizing my damage output is worth it to me, ymmv.
