Thread: Well, since we're supposed to be getting new weapons...

A. Symbolize the samurai caste
B. Fight in close quarters / crowded battlefields where drawing and swinging a katana wouldn't be possible.
Thier is always 1 exception to everything. Musashi who is considered the greatest duelist of all time in Japan was known to dual wield the Katana and Wakizashi. Hell he was known to duel just using a paddle =)
I would love to see some form of battle maces. use 2Hands (duh! lol). really long and heavy (that weapon has long range, ideal for PvP) has 4 axe heads spread about the end. Or perhaps some flails.

I would mainly like to see different blades and hilts drop from random mobs. we could take these to crafter and they could compose it into any category it would match (curved, hammer). Same thing towards guns.
this is off track a bit but -
I did see an interesting show on a guy in upstate New York who makes two hand swords from scratch. He uses no modern equiptment. His shop is actually a small log cabin (no power)with a forge/furness and some anvils and hammers. Hedigs his own minerals (wtih a hand shovel not a heavy harvester), purifies them, pounds them together (melds?). He was touted as the only living sword maker. Anyone recal his name?
I remember finding him on the web... though I don't think he has a site of his own since he's old scool.
anyways.. carry on.
big thing people are forgetting, 2 hand swordsman doesnt mean dual wield, it means using weapons that require 2 hands to use.
that and aaaaaages ago, the devs said no dual wielding in the game, melee or blasters
You're fighting a noble arguement, geth, but the cool thing about fantasy is that you can bend physics.
Call them hollow swords made of a rare metal which is both lite and difficult to bend.
And Shin, its called a wakazashi, and you'd never see a master go to it unless his sword were broken in the battle.
Then again there are no real masters left in this world, the old true sword styles are lost in time. don't tell me your training in a swordstyle right now, thats like saying your training ninjitsu to be a ninja. it just won't happen, all modern day arts are watered down versions of the arts of long ago. save some styles of kung fu, or if you live in china or japan. nothing in america is truly real
