Thread: ROOT IDEAS and jedi as well
Root : is not supposed to break on damage
Mez : is supposed to break on damage
Root : locks you in place not being able to run, example stopping shot
Snare : weaker root like crippleshot from carbineer, cripplestrike from fencer and kneecap shot from rifleman
Mez : doesnt let you move or do anything untill you take damage example cm paralyze, and m.enhancer stasis
zap is pretty much the same as the different debuffs cm's have same with shock its supposed to slow down your action regen, use action powerups get an action buff from a doc.
i consider any melee template post cu useless if it does not include atleast 4-0-0-0 doc, if you dont have this you need to run with a doc, jedi or cm to heal you all the time.
That said as a MSwordsman/Fencer/TKM
I've been rooted in duels before.
Its not death. I keep COB running, use stim ds and pull out my Laser rifle and lay a little dmg on them while I'm rooted. then I run up and lunge, adv Armor Break, Adv crit and snare. After that if they aren't too far away I try and hit em with whatever states I can. If they are not a smuggler I can usually kill them before they get the third stopping shot off. If they are then I try and run into a building either to get away or get them in close quarters where I am more effective.
