I am currently, and have been for awhile, a master doc/master swordsman. I fight elders all the time. I rarely die, reallyonly if they stun baton me and I can't burst in time. You don't need to worry bout defenses too much with master doc, just cure that states and your fine. You certainly don't need master doc,some medic will do fine, but I'm just saying that a swords/doc can tool elders, especially if they are speed capped. I've heard master brawler is good to have if you don't have doc because of the 2h speed +5 and intimidate two. I also agree with the person who mentioned curing bleeds as important... the bleeds after the newest patch are insane, especially from axkva min (or however you spell her name).

ive been soloing elders for about 10months now with just medic 2200 and master swords

You should avoid elders. All the others you can take as long as you can puill them 1 or 2 at a time. You won't survive 4 protectors at once with that build unless you get really lucky.

And sisters spawn enough that you really don't need ranger to track them. Just hit the stronghold and you'll find them. Explore 4 in scout is nice since there are alot of steep hills that they like to sit on the side of.
