Wrong, you can do it twice. How do I know? I have done it twice and have TWO schematics. If you bothered to read the whole post you would have seen the part where you have to go to the planetary records keeper to have all of the static quests reset for the planet. AFTER you have visited the records keeper reset the quest you may repeat it.

The only reason this wouldn't work is if you had your quests reset prior to completing the scythe schematic quest.

also, my friend who is master bio-e and high lever rifleman cant even initiate the quest.. says hes not up to the level to do it.. so there is some sort of limitation on who can do this..

im high level swordsman and master brawler.. gave it to me no problem.. anyone know why he can't get it?

You have to have Swordsman Finesse 3. And you can do the Quest twice btw.

which npc is the one that leads to the dragon, I saw a bunch of them adn came away after a couple of hours with a lot of pens

So, the general consensus is, Scythe=(Fresterating to get)+(Impossible Material on live) = Waste of time for two weeks? Great. A tase of what we've wanted all along. Anyone know anything about FFXI? I'll be back in two weeks.

the same thing happens to me the guy doesn't say anything at all......it kinda sux i wanted to get the schem and get the stuff i need before the caves come out........but do i need expert swordsman to talk to him? maybe you just need expert in any prof. for the combat xp line to get the quest its kinda dumb how when i have no weapon he's says i'm to weak and when i have my power hammer on he doesn't say anything if i need expert sword (i'm half way) just say i'm too weak not nothing............it worrys me

I had to switch from my sword, seeing as I'm a novice swordsmen, to my flamethrower....being a master commando he says that the quests are benith my capibilities, but I could do them anyway....

First, as a master swordman, TKA and brawler, the npc said i wasn't tuff enough ( really ? hehe ) but gave me the mission anyway...

I did the whole thing in like 30min... for the krayt just be smart... you spawn it then get away on your swoop ... then when you've lost aggro you come back to loot the treasure !

And voila, you just earned a magnificente USELESS schematic, congratulations, you can now cancel your account and go out

Actually, a friend of mine did it as a master TKM/Pistoleer with some fencer. Another of my friends did it as a near-master pistoleer/part BH with neither mastered. I can't do it as master CH with 3/1/0/2 rifleman. Neither of them had any swordsman at all. Hedon tells my fiancee's master tailor/master artisan/merchant with a bit of pistol that she's too weak. I really want to know what it checks to see if you can do the quest, the NPC won't say anything at all to me. Not a "you're too weak" or anything, just looks at me when I click converse or type /conv.

Thanks to all for the info so far. Messed up the first time from the Entha quest. Reset my missions via the Records npc in eisley. Was able to do the missions again. Got the schematic second time around with a friend acting as decoy.

So far out of everyone I've taken to the spot, I'm the only one who has been able to take the missions. I've seen it both ways. One being they were too weak and couldn't take the mission. And I've seen it where it won't talk at all. I think there is a bug with it for people who are in the right range of capabilities that get no message at all. For me it said it was beneath my capabilities. A friend who is still 1 level tka got no message.. If he levels up and it lets him get it, I'll post those results.

Someone mentioned that the genosian complex will be live in a couple weeks. Has anyone got an actual projected date for this?
