now with the scythe finally comeing we are getting our prize the weapon that we have been waiting for all this time.
Ok I can understand that point of view, even if it doesn't really touch me since I'm not that old in the game, it won't change the fact that it should have been a force sword instead of a scythe ^^ but that's personnal hehe.
also the damage per second is just insain not to mention the fact that the min damage is alot higher then then any of our weapons we can weild atm and it will be a BIG help in pvp. who cares about the armor it will go right trough it with being ap2.
how about no ? with our speed bonusI can swingmy powerhammer at 1speed and ithas got much better damages than the scythe... so sorry but NO it doesn't have an insane dmg / sec output.. 
For mind dmg it's ok, but again it s not "alot higher" than a powerhammer .. but let's take it as a good point.
Who cares about the armor it s AP2... ummmm well... powerhammer is AP2 too isn't it ? and i still hit for 24 on TKAs in ubese.. (~700dmg hammer)... so well AP doesn't seem to work at all yet, so it won't cut through anything but butter and dwarf nunas hehe.
also it looks kick ass and we have been wanting t eild it ever since we have seen it in nym's place. Also this weapon looks more star warsy likethen any weapon we own right now. we have weapons that look like they are from the middle ages or from anicent china/japan.
actually it looks a lot like a startrek weapon... but well if most of the people are happy with that np i guess.
Anyway i get your point and again that's no flame, sorry if it looked like one, I'm just really disappointed by the result, even tho I really appreciate the work on trying to help us swordmans, it's just not what I was excepting

okay ythe one that is in this pic is not the one that is going live there is a better one out there cuz they fixed it. it has a damage of like 2.2(which you are capped at master and a max damage of 324here let me find the pic of it. http://www.cs.indiana.edu/~stgabrie/newscythe.jpg
and on the damage per second it is greater on the power hammer. i dont care what you think hthe 5.4 speed power hammer with a speed mod of 80 is not capping your power hammer t may seem like it but look at a fight with a tka. he will hit you 2 before you get a swing anouther swiing in. and even if you get a speed slice ph you would get a hammer fof like 3.6 max damage of like 460 but with a good slice on the scyth it will be like 427 and is capped at speed and would have alothigher damage per second.
but if you are using a 700 damage power hammer you will be hitting every 2 seconds if it is a 5.4 hammer. how ever the scythe would be more 400 every second.
the only way you can be capped at speed with a ph is by having skilltapes to bring it to 93.
oh yeah btw if your only hitting a person with a ph for 34 when they have ubese armor on there is something definently wrong.

-to hit bonus arereal worse than 2hand axe or curved ( and everyone knows we need to hit bonus to deal with melee defense templates )
-mind cost makes it that you need muon gold to use your moves... joy

I love the fact that you guys give us a new sword, obviously you're making efforts... but be please, that won't change a thing... there should never have been a "scythe" certification in the game at first, since it has nothing to do with starwars, it should be replaced with Force Sword and be at master or something like that.

and btw it's a scythe blade cuz it is the BLADE of the scythe not the scythe it'self if you look at it it is slightly curved and looks like the end of the scythe.

master swordsman with master brawler has a 135 accuracy
with this weapon they would have a 120 or 104 accuracy
that isn't very good today when riflemen /fencer have insane melee defense like 200 i believe.
most TK/Fencers/Pistoleer and most people who PVP have builds that give amazing melee defense at least in the 140s or 150s- this is a negative mod to all accuracy! incase you didn't know.
with a 120 accuracy you won't be hitting them very often.
this maybe ok in PVE (thought you should pay more attention to the -miss- floating up over targets) but in PVP it's a huge factor.
Didnt read it all....but you forget...acording to the Devs defences from different classes will no longer stack..so no1 will have 200 melee defence

Ok ok you're right, with master brawler i got a bit more 2hand speed and got a few tapes... but still I can t agree that it will overdmg a hammer, I just don't see why it would, but is there any site with a dmg calculator ? so we can just check it ^^ honnestly i would prefer that you're the one who is right, so I would have something to look forward too hehe
hahah btw sorry if i came of to harsh before in the other post i just got annoyed at anouther post and it carried over here.
yeah if your facing someone with ubese armor with a ph you shouldn't be hitting for 36 since it is like from 10-30% resistance to your ph. i have hit many a tka with ubese armor on for like 130 damage.
and when i was talking about damage per second i was meaning it was vs people without the speed tapes and at master brawler. at master brawler/master swordman you get 80 speed mod which would make a 5.4 speed power hammer hit at like 2.48 secondsif you use 2-h hit 3. on auto attack it is capped.
but yeah if you get a good sdamage slice on this weapon it will be dadly in pvp and pve. because if you get a good damage slice it will be like 239.4 damage for the min damage. which is the highest min damage on any weapon we can own
