That IS the scythe. More specifically, the BLADE of a Scythe, modified to be used as a sword, resulting in an awesome looking weapon, as well as one that is REALLY good.

Well... for those of us that almost never get Colat iron on our server *coughAHAZIcough*, this was a great weapon even before the changes. Of course, now it's even better... I'll finally be able to hit with something other than my 2h curved sword.

With a nice dmg slice, this weapon would rock in pvp cause of its high min dmg (melee mitigation hurts max dmg).

I made a scythe with geonosian content. I had some minor failures, and used average cubes to make it, will try again with best cubes, hoping for success in all experimentation

take a look at my actual results there, it's already impressive :

I think I can gain from 30 to 50 in min and max damage (maybe more) if I don't have any experimentation failures (or worse assembly failures... already happened on geonosian reinforcement core... twice :/ )

But be careful : this weapon will probably be hard to come by ! requires loots from different places

omg. that looks like it is a insain weapon. and it will take the place of many a peoples weapons in pvp and pve just needs sme experimention on the ham cost a bit and stuff.sad par ti see of this though is that the ones i get i will most likly get a speed slice on them /pout.

this blade sux

It has a fast speed, which is nice....but the damage is crap compared to other weapons we get to use.....not only that, bu **edit** is KINETIC based

solely due to damage type id never ever use this thing.....ANYONE can get 70%+ kinetic ubese or chitin armor now for a fair price and most MObs ahve a kinetic resist.

Plus it doesnt even look liek a Scythe, looks like something from Xena warrior princess.

woot massive mind cost and fast speed. always a great combo, especially when you're doing kinetic damage. now we can be like TK and race to kill ourselves before the enemy has a chance!

These things are nice, and I would love to have one. That mind cost does scare me though. Are these really that much better then a two handed sword, or a good powerhammer with good accuracey? I have a powerhammer that is 132-535 6.2 spd -4-4-4 I wonder how much more effective this sythe would really be if you were a Master Swordsman with some speed skill attatchments.

Actually the more I think about it, how is this better then a 2 handed axe? I'm not trying to downplay this, and I'm very happy that it is in the game, just trying to see what the real advantage is here. I might just be missing something.

Gabe was so kind the other day to let me test one of his babies on TC. Unfortunately i didn't have much time and only got a glimpse into it (and no PvP at all) but it felt as being a good compromise between 2h curved and PH....just my own opinion though.

I also tried going through the scythe quest on Test Center - Bria and it wasn't too difficult. It seems to be difficult though to get hold of the genosian component.
