Thread: Bria Swordsman PA
In our Bria thread a possible recruit had a few questions for us. The answers that Sliwo gave are excellent and I feel they are worth placing in all of our guild threads for those who may be wondering the same thing. Below are Sliwos responses to the question.
I would like to join the guild, but first i have a few questions
1) do we have to stay on Lok?
We have a safehouse on Lok as well as a "hidden" PA hall. Also have a house on Corilla (near coronet). Eventually we would like to have a house for members to go to on every planet save the ones you can't build on.
2) do we have to become rebel eventually?
The faction requirement is that you can't be imperial. So neutral does work if you do not want to be rebel.
3) do we have to pay to get in?
There isn't a "membership sign-up" fee however there will be guild dues for all members for upkeep on the houses, PA, custom made weapons and what not to supply the guild. It's not a scheme to make money nor is it a money sink because things are gained in return.
The guild dues haven't been established yet but the plan is to have a vendor in the PA with swords titled by your name and guild rank for xxx amount of credits which will be bought and then sold back to the vendor (to easily keep track of who has paid and what not).
4) is it a PvP guild?
There scope of play wont be limited to PVP, but there will be raids on imperials and calls to defend rebel bases and even our own outpost once that gets established. There will also be voluntary hunting expiditions on various planets. If fact we had a little expidition on endor last night which was pretty successful.

Hi K'syick,
I'm interested. I know four or five other heavy swordsmen who may be interested, too.

Hi Loranor,
Thanks for the reply. I just noticed this "trials" process. Can you tell me more about that?
Not sure I can sell that to the others - especially since most of us started heavy swordsman a month before one of your founders even registered with SWG.
Thanks for your help,

Ok, first off, the date registered on the forums is not the date that you first registered to play SWG. Secondly length of time playing or Uberness isn’t really something that the guild looks at for qualification purposes or rank.
Our Guild is not a guild for people who want power, or strength, or money, or to power level, or show off. That is why we have the trials. The trials are not combat based. They are trials which are easy for the type of people we seek, and they are hard for the people we do not seek. Though it is the same trial. The secret of what the trials are cannot be given out to people who are not inside of the guild for one reason, we don’t want people to know the tests ahead of time, that would make the test ineffective at weeding out the type of people we don’t want. Some guilds believe in just letting anyone in so they can be the largest guild on the server. That is fine, and not necessarily a bad thing. But our guild would much rather be a tight knit guild of people who can trust each other, a group of people who know that everyone else has passed those trials and has shown the same character traits that they value. We want a guild of people who are passionate about putting others of the Heron Order ahead of themselves and closer then family. We don’t want to charge very high dues, we want people to simply volunteer what they feel they would like to for the guild and guild members. And expect that people will do the same for them.
Our trials are setup to test for people with patience, dedication, perseverance, compassion, and selflessness. And they work really well at doing this. For people who are like this the trials are very very easy. For people who are not.. they get frustrated or angry, and take it out on the people around them. If you feel that you are the type of person that the guild looks for, and you prefer to be in a specialized guild of tight knit people you can count on always. Then please feel free to email K'ysick, Loronar, or Sliwo. If not that we hope that you find a guild that seeks the same goals that you ![]()

Was not upset at all. Some guild are looking for Power Leveling and to be the largest guild on the server with anyone in it. Other guilds are not. ![]()
So unfortunatly 2 people failed one portion of the trials last night. They did not fail for any truly wrong reasons and still seem like good people. They will be tested again ata later date when they do not expect it.
Ona better note 2 more people passed the trials and have honored the Heron Order by joining our ranks. ![]()
Peace in the force to y'all
