I'm still not sure if I agree with it, it'll definately put a damper on our ability to counter kiters in pvp. This is good news for tka's as they no longer have to worry about an incap from the DoTwhile they meditate. Thoughts?

Wow. They remove the effectiveness of our posture change attacks, and now our bleeds?

So thats... 7 or 8 useless moves now?

that does seem a little rough considering that it is one of the few, and I do mean few, good moves we have... Don't you just love watching their mind tick down... and down... and down -> incap =)

figures :/ that is the best attack we have too. guess i'll go tka then, cause i know as soon as i do they will nerf dizzy kd.

this is a horrible idea, not only should bleeds incap, but so should poisons. if you don't like it, then pick up medic and get some first aid. or go doc and get cure poison. there is no good reason for this nerf.

at some point, maybe the devs will start fixing broken stuff like food and stats bug, instead of breaking things that work.

where is the problem? If they reach 1pt mind just hit them once more or lunge if they are running. Small part of each hit is always split between pools. They will die even if you hit health.

Or are you all just hit and run? Thats not the way of the warrior

That's just aweful. I have been in many a fight in PvE where I get incapped then the creature I was attacking died from the mind bleed either right after I was incapped or a few seconds later. This change will hurt everybody, but especially those who attack the mind specifically because mind is hit less often than health and action (the effect would be magnified if using a slow weapon).

Great. Our bleeds were the only reason to go swordsman over tka. Now there is no reason at all to go swordsman instead of tka.

This is absolute garbage!!!! I mean come one, I thought they were going to improve our profession and give us something worthwhile. Instead of making it better they make it worse, we are already at a disadvantage in PvP now we are going to be at one in PvE???????? This makes no sense whatsoever.

Half of the game is already lost to me because meleers aren't particularly suited for PvP. And now they take away the one slim chance we had at all of making a difference.

This development team is seriouslyfarked up. As if they don't have enough broken things left to fix, they continue to screw around and break things that were working at least moderately well. How the hell is anyone supposed to figure out which profession they want to play, or even just how to play this game well, when they change the skill paradigms and game rules every 3 weeks?

Or is the plan to just constantly break / change things so no one really has a clue as to what they want to do or how to do it?

Four years after the development process began and four months after launch and they still haven't even worked out something as basic as the combat model? Watching the player cities and mount additionsutterly disintegrate oughtta be a hoot. They'll probably have all of the kinks worked out by 2005.

And did anyone hear that the space expansion isn't coming for another year? These guys are on the same development cycle as iD, who announced Doom 3 likefour years ago and still don't know when it'll be ready.

I have mixed feelings on this, on one hand, we will no longer be able to drop things with the mindbleed, which was a staple tactic with this class. But, on the other hand, we will no longer be as suseptible to these bleeds either. This was a major problem for me when doing PvP. Some medic or rifleman would hit me with a DoT before i closed to my melee range, and then kited me. Game over for me. Now we can at least stand a chance vs a few more classes out there.

"So I swoop upon the foe, and I will slay,
I will hew them into pieces, I will dash them into dust;
Like Baal in his strength, on their rearward, lo! I fell,
And I killed them, none escaped me, and I slew, and slew, and slew."

And what, exactly, arewe gonna be able to accomplish with a single hitpoint? He's still kiting you and 4 of his pistoleer buddies are shooting at that last point. If fail to see how this is gonna make a difference for anyone. I get incapped in 7 seconds instead of 6. Yippee.

one thing i wish game companies would do is learn from blizzard (for those of you that dont know it is the same company that relased diablo). people are willing to wait for a working, well worked, finished product. look at almost every game that blizzard relased, they had to push back their release dates to finish the game up, and put out a good product.

to compare the wait for this game to blizzards mmorpg world of warcraft.

i first heard of world of warcraft back in late 99, and then they went offical with it in mid 2000. and dont expect to release it untill next year.

now how long has sony and lucas arts had this game in the works? i think my old roomate told me that they started advertising it back in 2001 or something like that? dont quote me on that because i am not sure.

but on the topic of the dot change, i like the idea of it for pvp, but if it gets implemented into pve the game will become incredibly harder. i personally use bleed to help along in fighting large things, like fambaa. hit it with a bleed, and then continue on attacking it's mind and as you stand there attacking it the bleed kicks in and its mind dropps down 2k, which is a beautiful thing to happen. but if you get incaped the and the bleed stops at 1, you pretty much are screwed unless you can get incredibly lucky and it walks away, or you can get a hit in before it hits you.
