Hello my fellow Swordsman. Is it true that the 2 handed sword is the best melee weapon for heavy swordsman? Seems that it has good DMG and the speed is excellent. I just was curious Thanks

I think the power hammer is by far the best. The way I play swordsman, heavy mind hits, the most damage possible is what I want. Also it has the lowest mind costs which is priceless when you are buffed in full composite.

when youre a wook with 900 strength POWERHAMMER is by far the best.

i get 400-500 tick mind bleeds, and i dont even feel the specials

I know but it seems slower..but i guess when you reach master level it doesnt matter..thanks for the info.

i got a speed of 3.8 on my hammer to learn with.

The hammer is by far the best weapon if you don't take damage types into consideration.

Your amazing hammer wont do so well against a Nightsister with 100% Blast resist.

Its those situations that call for a good 2hCurved, so its a must to have a good one on you at all times. (Many poeple like to use a 2hCleaver for this instead as it has a much higher min dmg than the 2hCurved - giving you a more consistant dmg output - it fluctuates horribly with the 2hCurved).

I never use the Powerhammer, the health cost is way too high for my taste. Feels like I'm killing myself faster than the opponent is . I like to stick to the 2H Cleaver, good damage good HAM costs good speed.

Yeah Powerhammer rocks when your higher up the skills to get the speed. I hit for 2k to 4k.

If I am buffed I will use the hammer all day long. Usually tho I will open up with the hammer and use that to stack the bleeds on the mob since bleeds with the PH are devastating. After that I'll switch to my curved or cleaver and just hack away. Has worked great for me so far.

Until you reach Battlemaster and get your first accuracy mod in the Finesse tree, it's not worth using anything but the 2H Curved. At that point you can start to use a cleaver (sliced for damage) or power hammer (sliced for speed). Once you get the last accuracy mods, you can finally use a power hammer sliced for damage. Note that as a Master Swordsman/Master Brawler I still miss a lot with the power hammer.

I'm not too sure why people go by DPS alone.

My 2hCurved might have a higher DPS stat than my hammer, but does my 2hCurved hit for 1000-1500 dmg every 1.0s consistantly?

No. It dosnt.

The bottom line is, stuff dies a HELL of alot faster when im weilding a hammer.

Hammer (does Blast damage) if the creature is highly resistent to Kinetic (2handed curved sword). If they're resistant to Blast I use curved sword. If all things are equal, I'll do mind bleed with hammer, then switch to curved sword where I'm hitting about 5 times for every one with the PH.

Always on the look out for a better weapon though!
