Thread: What the hell do i need a scythe for?

It was a friendly duel. We ended it. Needless to say he was none to happy about his new toy.I was a doc at the time too and could heal myself all day.

Thing is, the scythe is faster and more accurate.
So unless u face the high lvl critters with high kinetic resist you would do more dmg per secound with a sycthe.
Unless u are speed and accuracy capped

well i've gotta say i agree with milgram on this one lol.. i've not found enough to kill with the scythe to make buying one worth my time.
The PH is much better for 90% of PVE enemies, and theones which are 100% blast i can pull out my 100-330 2.4 speed Curved sword for, which cost me 10k, sure its got lower damage than a scythe but its a hell of a lot cheaper and does enough damage for me. Scythes wear out to quickly to use for general hunting considering their price, so i can only think of 1 or 2 places i'd use one, such as the deathwatch bunker.

as to how much i use even my curved sword.. In 4 weeks of doing Nightsisters, geo lab, janta hunts etc. etc. not even pulled it once. speedcapped powerhammer kicks ass much more than any 550 max scythe would. PVP may be a different story however

Also You hit faster and more acuratley with a Scythe plus you tend to do more DMG.

Have u ever tried to kill some melee-stacker with your ph in a duel? your ph has some lower min. damage than most good scythes i think..and against melee-migration3 all u need is a very high min. damage.....

SBD (run!)
plus anything else with high Blast Res.

yea, intim+citros make it really easy
I run the DWB a lot, and since everything in there is insanely blast resistant (ranging from like 80% to 100%) kinetic is better.

I would say i like my scythe more cause its fast at 2.6 with 437 max dmg and my PH (acklay) is at a sluggish 5.9 with 689 dmg. I think the speed is better than the damage because if you look at the scythe and make the speed pretty much like the PH like 2.6 times 2 and 437 times 2 that equals just about 5.2 and 850 which is much better than my PH.

Well Milgram, you know howI feelabout this, even thoughI sold you your Scythe, I must agree with your argument. You have speed, and aside from the rare Blast resist. enemy you dont need your Scythe. Just my thoughts, take it or leave it Good luck to all,
