Thread: Easy Fixes / Low Hanging Fruit

As we wait for the combat rebalance, what shorter term fixes or content additions would you like to see?
Note that a good answer is one that is useful, balanced and not that difficult to fix. Examples would be:
Making bleeds more viable.
Buffing warcry up a bit from the previous nerf to make it slightly more usable.
In other words, if I get a chance to pitch a few small items to the dev's, what would you like to see included?

I think it'd be cool if we had different kinds of damage types, like Cold or something. That'd be ub3r sweet, but the Composite would have to be nerfed from protecting all kinds of damage. I think having a one armor protects all system is somewhat lame. We've got everyone in their brother using Composite armor. I think it'd be cool of Composite protected against Electricty and Energy, to say. And then Padded could protect against Cold and Heat. This would make for a much more varied look in the populations across the galaxy.

In fact, instead of having to make a new weapon, they could just change one of our weapons to stun damage.
The cleaver is the weapon that comes to my mind. Of course, they couldn't change all the old cleavers, but they could make it so all new ones are stun damage.
Either that, or they could make a special cleaver schematic drop or something.

Stun stun stun stun.... this is all every profession is asking for. I think its a bad idea. Its cool enough we get a blast hammer. If every profession got a stun weapon then we'd all be crying to nerf armor for stun protection... its just not balanced ... everyone and their brother will be running around with a stun weapon.

Why should riflemen get one, when they already outdamage us?
Fencers get them, as well as pistoleers.
You can get 40% stun armor easily.
Also, most stun weapons have less damage than your profession's best weapon.
And most importantly, swordsmen are supposedly supposed to have the best damage of all the melee classes. Currently, that's not really the case.
It's rediculous trying to fight someone in 90% kinetic armor (which means it's 90% to blast too.). We have no way of getting around their armor, yet we should. If they're not going to give us a stun weapon, then they need to make AP actually work correctly, or up the strength of our bleeds dramatically (Perhaps reduce them to 75% of what they used to be, but then remove the 75% PvP damage reduction on them....just like poison works.).

I agree with you on the AP and the bleeds. I don't think so on the stun still tho.

We need at least one other new weapon, the scythe was only a HALF-step in the right direction.
A SWORD (no hammer, or axe, etc) that is NOT rare and can be made by any MWS without needing looted components or schematics.
A sword that does damage other than blast or kinetic. Stun would be nice, but I think that may be asking too much.
Maybe even heavy armor piercing. Put it in master swordsman bubble. There aren't many swordsman dabblers anyways.

Bleeds needs to be upped in power a bit, maybe even re-instate the incapp from bleed since they are so weak now.
Warcry needs to be AoE and maybe increase the effectiveness of it, make it harder to resist.
AP3 weapon.

Any other damage type will be no better than the blast damage we already have. When someone gets composite armor made, it protects against every single damage type except for stun (unless they have 40% special protection for it, in which case it protects against absolutely everything.).

Also, an AP3 weapon will hardly do much at all for us, either. AP doesn't actually have anything at all to do with armor piercing.

Remove BUNK skill tapes...
like:
2 hand melee damage
2hand melee counter attacks
2hand melee evasion
ANd
DECREASE THE TIME IN BETWEEN TICKS FOR BLEEDS .... theyre still useless...
