Thread: Medium Armor piercing....works?

Quick question,
With the new Genosian cave open I am lucky to hit the enhansed kwi for 1000 points. It is usually 600-800. They have medium armor. I am using a hammer and with mobs without armor I hit from 2000-4000 with mindhit3. Isn't the hammer supposed to cut through medium armor? It hammer's description certainly says it does.
Currently I am 0,4,1,2

the kiwis in that cave are bio engd to withstand attacks the only ppl that can touch them are commando

your best bet is to hit them with a burn/bleed combo and wait it out.

I can solo everything in that cave. Except the Ackley(sp?) because I have yet to see him spawn.
It just takes a helleva long time to kill a 28-39K HAM mob when my attacks, that are supposed to cut through Medium armor only hits for triple digits when I believe I should be hitting for 2K.
If I remember correctly the kwi have a 50% resist to Blast so I should be hitting for 1-2K. The Medium armor seems to be blocking ANOTHER 50% of the power knocking my attacks down under 1000when it should not.

Works fine for me... takes 10-15 seconds to kill 'em with Power Hammer if I don't get intimidated.

yeah i have no prob killin them it just takes a bit to kill em cause they are like 30k ham
i just stay grouped with another 2hand master and we own that place

well crap shed some light on how u kill them, im buffed out the wazzo and hopped up on pixie and get incapped in seemingly 2-3 hits. and what exactly is an ackely? anyone have a screenie of this thing? I can barely take on a crazed genosian without getting slain.

Watch close and see if they're intimidating you. If so, that makes you do half damage.

You hit for 4k normally because you are hitting tings with 0 AR, so you do an extra 50% damage. against something with AR2, you get no AP bonuses and no AR reductions to damage. so its as if you were fighting with an AP0 weapon against an AR0 creature, just they have 50% blast resists, so you do even less.
and for the record, the enhanced creatures are harder than the acklay... i was outdamaging (by myself) 6 other people, at least until my mind ran out against the acklay, while it takes me about 5-8 mins to kill one enhanced creature

I was using HH3 on the acklay with a damage sliced 2h curved sword(wasn't master at that point) and i dropped him about 1/4th before my mind ran out (ran out of brandy and muon... oh well).
I haven't tried any of the enhanced since i made master, but i'll try some out tomorrow. I'm sure it'll go a lot faster.

Please tell me where I can geta hammer that does 2000 points of damage every second in order for you to kill a 28K Ham Kwi with Medium armor and 50% resist to Blast in 15 seconds. Can a Master Swordsman swing a Hammer every second?

The kwi's only have 5% blast protection with medium armor. The thing that really hurt you is that they do intimidate and stun. Intimidate halves your damage, and believe it or not stun halves your damage too. That means if you are stunned and intimidated you are doing 1/4 the damage you are suppose to be doing. Oh and I tested it, and stun does half your damage, stupid narglatches.
