Sup guys,

Ok This post is because of a Master Swordsman who burst ran on top of me. We were both overt, he was a Tranny and had on full composite, me I had nothing on and am human. I put a few mind bleeds on him 112 and 123, and was tryin to just stay back and pound on his mind. I got lazy and didn't notice he hit burst run on me. Well needless to say at about 10m he hit me for 915 to the mind!!!!! PvP Ok I do know that he had a +4 Two Handed accuraccy mod. I did have a T21 in my hands, but 915? Is it me or can Swordsman do this on a regular basis to the right people (excluding those with huge melee defense and mitigation). I'm also a Novice Swordsman and notice that for a novice I can hit for huge, and can't wait to level up. Just ring in with thoughts, stories, whatever I just want to hear from some Master Swordsman and what there thoughts are.

915 against a ranged user isn't very unusual if we actually connect. But the -31 Ranged mods on hammers usually dictate that we miss, especially against professions with high defense, so he was kinda lucky.

You were prone too right?

He wouldn't have to be prone..

PvP damage is 25% of PvE damage - so 915 PvP wouldn't have even been 4000 PvE, and 4000 is like a normal hit in PvE.

We only hit low damage against other melee, cos of mitigation and toughness.

My point being that if you were prone that damage would be even more reasonable.

Well you weren't armored, you have no melee migitation, and you got clocked by a medium armor peircing high damage weapon. No surprise there. I have seen rifleman one shot people that have no helmets on while using head shot 3. No big surprise. Nice hit on the swordsman's part!

It's normal. I thwacked a TKA master with my Hammer (aslucky a shot as unlocking FSCS) for 1200 or so pts of damage. He /tell'd me and asked how did I beat him. I typed back that the Force must have been with me on that one, then he asked where he could find a Swordsman trainer and a Hammer.

Correction for the above post - It's normal if we connect.

Personally I average about 5k+ per swing with my power hammer when it is powered up.

So that 25% I should usually hit for 1250 pvp damage against someone with the same defenses as the mob I hit for 5k+ I have dropped people with 1k health in one hit, you just get lucky like that sometimes.

If you have less than 1k mind and you see someone rushing you with a hammer, turn around and run the other way as fast as you can.

Wanderhome either has crappy resourcesor crappy weaponsmiths. Even Drudia's PH's only average 2500 with headhit3.

i got a story....

the day i got master swordsman(one of the happiest days of my swg life) i felt a need to test out my new move(2 handed hit 3), i decided to test it out in pvp first....so i went overt and walked around in theed till i found 4 overt imps... who were not paying attention, this i did not understand as i am a big red blip on the radar, i walked up to one and hit him for 950 mind dam and inc him in one hit.......wow, i thought, that was a lucky hit, then b4 his friends got a chance to do anything i hit one of them........low and behold another 900 dam hit.....and he was down....i was so amazed that i just stood there for about 30 seconds doing nothing, all the while the 2 remaining imps were running around in circles shooting at me....at this point i felt like god becuz they hardly did any damage to me at all, so i casually killed the 2 remaining imps and proclaimed my glory!.... by spamming MUAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!! over and over.....eventually they called in reinforcments and in the end it took six declared imps to bring me down.
