Thread: Best Armor for Swordsman?
I was wondering what the best armor is for a swordsman. What can I get that has high kinetic damageprotectionplus low HAM cost when using special attacks. If anyone knows what I need to have made to achieve these results that would would be great!
Thanks,

For PvE, get a suit of really nice ubese.
HAM is pretty low, and it can get up to about 65-70% kinetic resist.

each piece has its own %.
A set generally has about the same % on each piece, so ppl say the average, it is not the total.
When damage is done to a particular part of the body, it is that piece and that piece alone that determines your effectiveness % against the damage.
Btw if your wondering why im posting in your forum as a BH, its because im droppin it soon to become fencer or heavy swordsman. cant decide yet. ![]()
For strict PvE :
- high kinetic, moderate-high HAM costs = advanced ubese
- moderate-low kinetic, very low HAM costs = mabari armorweave
Depends on your HAMs, buff availability, and playstyle.
I wear 80% Comp armor and I am untouchable with COB now as well..
I suggest2 suits, 1 Main PVE Suit (High Kinetic, High Encub), PVP Suit, Balanced 50-60s..
While some people like low ham costs, I very rarely run into situations where I'm fighting non stop for extended periods of time. Get a mission, run to it, complete, and then have to run some sort of distance to the next one or back to get more. It is similar in PvP where you likely will die at some point or the battle will be over in a fairly short period of time. For this reason I almost always use krayt composite armor and my favorite combo of spices and foods (doctor and entertainer buffs are nice but i do quite well without and am self sufficient). There isn't much that compares to tanking four or more high level mobs because they can't hit you for crap and you can heal if needed. Many will complain about spice downers or short food buff times but I canregularly (98% of the time)finish any missionI receivebefore my food/drink/spice wears. Take all three right before and wipe it out with area attacks over and over sprinkled with some heals. For really tough stuff, stack your bleed(s) on everything around you and then work on em one by one, healing as needed. I have no idea what to tell you folks that don't spend credits on novice medic. Really it's (novice medic)all you need in that tree and means being able to survive or not. For those without, probably your best bet is the limited tailor clothing mods and some skill tapes.
If the buff cycles are too involved for those with ADD or short attention spans, use advanced krayt ubese. It's better on HAM costs (isn't as good vs the melee killer - kiting ranged NPCenergy attacks) and will let you fight lower level enemies without requiring food/drink/spice buffs. Chitin is good too but I don't like having so many pieces unless it's top level like composite.
Be sure to get your undershirt with either bleed/poison defense or melee/stun defense as only undershirts can be worn under your armor. Hats can have medical bonuses for those, like me, who dont like to wear helmets.
Just my 2p.

I forgot to mention....
When you are laying on the ground after a TKA knockdown and dizziesyou, just think about the armor you would prefer to be wearing. If it's not 80%+ on kinetic, you'll likely be visiting the cloning center due to the length of dizzy. If you have a bleed on them and can survive laying on the ground while taking many many many hits, you are a prime candidate to kick their @ss. KD has timer and they will have no other effective combo to use on you.
