Ok, so I'm a Master Swordsman & a Master Doctor - it's a great combo

I dont have too many free skill points left ... what should I put them into?

I'm a n00b at PvP ... where can I put in these free skill points so that I can be more effective?

Only two good options come to mind, depending on your preference for combat or medicine.

1) Novice Artisan + Survey I ---> for finding spawns for your resources.

2) Novice Scout + Explore I ---> Terrain Negotiation for much improved speed over rough terrain.

You may also consider Scout + Hunting I if you'd hunt for your own Avian and Herbivore meat, but droids can help this ability alot, even if you take Explore. And since these are very easy skills to get from scratch, flip back and forth as necessary.

Hehe I am a Swordsman/Doc as well, but I kinda did a funny approach. I picked up novice entertainer and 0001 so that I get a bonus to Wound/Fatigue healing. That way I never have to rely on someone else to get healed, and I also have a cool dance to go with my Taunts when I am PvP'ing.

I'm working on the same template (not there yet) but based on what I've done with other templates the answer is....

All of the above.

Seriously, you only have 18 skillpoints to play with and it only costs 100 credits to learn a novice skill of a starter profession. The experience requirements for the first box in any of those is incredibly low so get them all as needed.

Pick up novice scout and go hunting for that avain or herbivore when you need it. Drop and pick up novice artisan when you need to survey and move your harvesters. Drop and pick up novice entertainer when you want to heal more effectively. Just rotate as needed, its cheap and easy and you'll usually rack up and save enough xp to quickly pick up the first box when you switch.

Most of the time stick with novice scout. That way you can always harvest and can make basic camps to heal or buff in the field.

I've done that with other templates when I hit 18 or less skillpoints and it works out really well.

Actually droping scout and artisan is exactly what I did when I was a Master Doc/Master Swordsman

I totally agree. I was a TKM and Master doctor. Recently switched to Master Swordsman and have been doing the same thing. Switching in between artisan and scout. I also have friends that often need apprentice points for the jedi grind.. so novice marksman and ranged 1 also. I suppose it's only important if you actually need to harvest your resources.

I have the same template as you, what I did was I put the rest of my skillpoints on the PikeMan line, if u like PVP this is the best thing to do. Putting Mind fires and Mind Poison and then putting a Mind Bleed on some1 really is a b***h to get off ya . Slap 2 mind poisons, mind fire, bleed em, and then go to work. Youll notice how much time he tries healin himself instead of hitting you

I rotate mine about between Scout, Artisan, and Marksman, for guildies to get AP from RS1. Doesn't hurt me that much to give away 300 Combat XP 30 times or so, and does them a LOT of good.

yes, switch those 18 pts from Artisan to Scout or entertainer.
You don't need a camp with a droid (110 med + Private food station ).
Artisan Food&clothes 1 gives you Aitha and Exo Proteins, survey I or 0 is almost the same, and buy crates of batteries for ur droids.
Scout 1000 for terrain negociation..but you almost never flee away, your bike is not far and a macro /mount is under ur finger, no ?
Avian meat,Herbivore meat,Lokian Wheat and the like are almost always available in the good bazaars like Theed..
Definitely entertainer is a good choice as Cantinas are empty but as previously said for 100cr you can switch at will so..

With a second account things are easier : a Master Artisan-Master architect-Master Chief (they are other combos) could help you but it makes things too mechanic, a more powergamer point of view;each one play for fun and we all have our opinion.

I resist to the idea of suscribing a second account (my second PC winks at me suggestively) but I feel more RP to play with the limits of the game, it helps immersion. That is why I hate the idea of Holocron grinding, I like so much my Swordsman/Doctor..Anakin was a droid ingenieur, he was not told to grind 32 professions..the new system in Publish 10 is by far better and more SWGish.

The first thing that I'd do is get my wasted points back from master doctor. You shouldn't need anything beyond medic 4003. Now you can master brawler and put some points into tka 4004.

whaaaaaaa? drop master doctor lol. Doctor/Swordsman are awsome (well since I am one i guess im biased lol). Most people who get master doc do it so that they can sell their services to other or sell buffs. So I wouldn't suggest doing this unless you wanna just re-do your template to a defense stacker.

I do the same thing. I am a Master doc/Master Swordsman. I switch mine between scout(harvesting), artisan(surveying) and marksman (getting my pa friends app points) since I am constantly capped on combat xp. I like being able to pickup any novice I wish.
