Even with +12 you'll still need another +8 or +9 to cap with an Acklay hammer (or +3 or +4 if you have master brawler).

That, and you have to be lucky enough to be visited by the Old Man. But yeah, same goes with the +12 to accuracy you get..just wish the conversion rates were a bit more friendly.

I hate to rain on your parade, but there are a couple of things you should know about before saying that 2h speed attachments are a waste of money. First off, I'll say that the melee speed line is very real and does appear to work. At low levels, the difference is of course negligible, but when you get to the high 80s and 90s, that extra +3 per boxis going to be a godsend. However, these boxes are not easy to get by any means.
In order to even qualify to get these boxes, you first need to do a phase 2 quest from Dageerin. For those not in the know, there are 4 phases to the village, with one cycle (all 4 phases) occurring once every 9 weeks or thereabouts. That means from the day this goes live, you'll need to wait about 2.25 weeks in order to even unlock the melee speed branch. That's not that big of a deal, really, but the xp requirement is.
The xp requirements were globally changed once publish 10 hit TC. Instead of the relatively low numbers we were seeing before, the numbers now follow a scale similar to that of a normal profession. 1st tier boxes are 175k, 2nd are 250k, then 350k, then 450k. This is all Force Sensitive Combat xp.
Force Sensitive Combat xp is gained by converting normal xp at an NPC within the village. The conversion rate is 30:1 on Weapons xp and 3:1 on Combat xp. This means that if you want to get just the one line, you will need roughly 20 million weapons xp and the associated 2 million combat xp in order to get it. That's not an easy feat, and it's only made worse by the fact that the only place to convert XP is on Dathomir, 6km away from any civilization. However, I can say from experience, that it comes much more quickly than you think. Just from playing normally over the past couple weeks, no grinding or anything, I was able to get a first level box. The biggest gate by far is the fact that you have to go back to Dath to convert xp once you cap.
So, yes, you are correct. You can get +12 melee speed with this line, however it comes at a great price, and most people won't have the dedication to get the 20m weapons xp required for it. I don't see the market for speed SEAs diminishing any time soon.

hhhmmm...I'm not worried about getting all that xp. Just sitting there owning the geo's for loot i capped combat xp in a about hour and a half i had 176k when i entered the place. Those bug men give 500 combat xp a kill so it's not hard to get them to spawn up and spawn an AoE and wipe em out fairly easy. As for the regular weapons xp i use to own the janta cave once a day with my carbine and in two days of just that i'd cap on weapon xp, got to switch my carbineer skills around a lot like this. And i have 900k carbine pistol swordsman and heavy weapon xp all saved up not to mention that 300k combat xp. so right there is what? 100k force xp from the combat xp and what a little over another 100k xp from the weapons plus being able to cap on your weapon xp quick will bring that xp in in no time at all
