Thread: Scythe vs pH (with speed cap)

Once you cap you'll hit at once per second regardless of the weapon mod and the special(general cap for swords is 95, we'll cap with a 6.1 speed or lower weap using hit3).
The only things that make a scythe better than a powerhammer is the range mods and the higher min damage... although with a good acklay powerhammer you can get the same or higher min as a good scythe, and if you've got some acc mods and use citros the acc mods aren't so bad.

I still recomend the scythe against heavy melee stackers (guys with capped melee d, dodge/block/counter, AND high state defenses, youll really notice the accuracy difference).
Nothin dishes damage like a good ph against jedi, ranged, and id say about 1/2 of the melee population though.

First off you can't cap all dodge/block/counter because each of those are weapon specific. You can't have all at the same time with the same weapon. Secondly even with capped dodge with the fs tree for accuracy and some tapes -40 is nothing and you can still hit for plenty of damage nearly all the time. The thing you have to watch out for is damage mitigation in which the weapon with the tighter range/higher min damage will be the one to use.

I meant melee d and either one of the three secondary defenses, and then high state defenses.2. Whatever. Not everyone has the fs line or attachments. Also, i know for a fact its not easy to hit a capped dodge, capped melee defense, and on pikatta pie. Go ahead and pull out the math and the numbers crap, dont care. Seen all this stuff first hand.
So have I and a dodge capped fencer isn't that hard to hit with some food and attachments. If you don't have these however a scythes accuracy helps a ton.

Woot... I'm with rAPEist on this one (being his servermate (is that even a word lol?))
But one thing u said APE, that scyth >hammer, due to accuracy etc, in pvp......
Hammers are blast dmg
Scythes are Kinetic ![]()
(lol, i know you knew that)
Kinetic is 90% of the time a "Special Protection Layer"
whilst Blast is 90% of the time a "Effectiveness layer"
heh, this was made clear for me once, but as i understood it (or think i understood it rofl)
is that one takes 90% of the dmg..... the other takes 50% of the dmg, and then 90% off of that (given 90% resist of course)
That is, say pure dmg of 1000---- armor takes 90% leaving 100 dmg....
other would be 1000 dmg---divide by 2=500, and 90% of that making 50 dmg...
hmm, running these numbers now tho makes me not so sure of this anymore lol
![]()
Maybe my numbers are not correct, but I know for a fact that these are not the same and Special Protection is "better" that is, takes more dmg than effectiveness.....
heheh
please do correct me in all my misunderstandings lol
Best Regards
