I intend to become Master Swordsman and never look back. This decision comesafter dropping BH and countless other professions in search of one I enjoy playing the most. The sword is my favorite without a doubt. So, do you recommend that I master brawler too? For that matter, what is the best combo of skills to accompany Master Swordsman? I am considering Doc for the buffs and heals, or CH for the tanking protection. Please tell me what has worked best for you.

Once you get master brawler, you'll wonder how you ever fought without.

i wish i could get master brawler but........i cant give up master ch - (which is one hell of a defense bonus )

im going to pick up a few boxes in TK for increased melee and ranged defense and the meditation is nice for status.

i also didnt bother with any first aid - just novice medic and 3 in diag.

with stim b's and some nice be cloths you can heal about 400 or more points at a time very rapidly.

makes all the diffrence to me

Master Swordsman without Lunge2 = dead Swordsman in PvP . Master brawler is the key ! Beside that since the HAM is hilarous with a powerhammer i generally let my beetle tank (non CH) and hit berzerk2 to kill 15k HAM stuff and it goes pretty fast. Saves me from healing me all the time just because of HAM loss.

Warcry 2, intimidate 2, and all the lunge 2s are all wonderful skills. While these skills tend to be unreliable sometimes, when they do work they help so much. Master Brawler enhances any elite melee profession, and is a good choice if you can spare the extra points to get it.

With CH you can hide behind your pets, and let them tank for you. With Doc you can safely put more stat points into mind, keep yourself buffed, and heal yourself with some incredible Stim Ds and Es.

Of course, you should choose your professions based on what you have fun doing, and not only by what would be the "most effective" choice.

Heh, to be honest, if you want to fight, master an elite melee profession. If you want to tank, master brawler too.

I have to agree about going Master Brawler. I've dabbled in all the melee professions before, surrendered them all...started being a Fencer...got annoyed, dropped Fencer...mastered brawler, picked up a 2-handed sword and I haven't been happier. I refuse to use a gun, as I've said numerous times, and all bugs, errr...I mean things, considered, I am very happy. I'll have to drop my CH skills soon to Master Heavy Swordsman, but overall, I'd recommend mastering brawler if your skill points allow for it.

I am Master Heavy Sword, Master Creature Handler and 3 boxes away from Master Brawler. I will have 4 points left , will probably go into hunting 1 and survival 1. I have to rely on others for heals, but since 3 out of 4 times I am on, I am hunting with guildies.

To master 2HS and Doc would only leave 18 points, not enough for Master Brawler.

You could Master 2HS, Brawler and Medic and have 33 points left for partial adv. up the Doc tree or use it in Scouting and Exploration. This would have been the route I would have taken If did not already have MCH, and with the upcoming changes to CH, I am not going to give it up until I see how that all pans out.

My 2nd toon is going the way of Swordsman/Rifleman, he's no intention of tanking if at all possible (No armour), but I know at some point the mobs will catch me so I wanna beable to dish out some pain.

Just hoping they don't ruin the mind dot combo's.

once you have a Toxic Merek Battlelord or dual Mountain Squills you'll wonder why you wasted 3 trees on Master Brawler
