Hey guys,

Swordsman Vs. Pikeman vs. Fencer vs. TKA

If all were master who would fall first? Who would be the last man standing?

I understand that there are tons of variables, but I'm just wondering what class I should go into? I'm very new to the brawler class and don't know much about any of these. I've heard that TKA is awsome. That's about all i've heard. Are swordsman or any of the above expected to get an update/nerf anytime soon?

TKA is by far the best Brawler class.

They have so many advantages I honestly don't know where to begin.

Hmm, first to fall would most likely be the Pikeman as they aren't so bad in PvE, but aren't anywhere near PvP ready. Last man standing definitely the TKA - as Syg mentioned, they are by far one of the best combat classes in game - not to mention the best melee class. Every melee class tho has some cool stuff- it's just going to take many more patches for everything to get balanced.

Also depends on what you like. Do you like playing the same kick-ass character everyone else is playing or are you the type that wants to be one of the few? That question right there will help make the decision for you.

Actually, the Rifleman Swordsman combo is pretty lethal. Swordsmen get a nice mind bleed and closerange mind hits. Couple that with the rifleman's ability to tax the mind pool from range and you've got a pretty lethal combination...something to think about.

I take back half of what I said..

Tka is by far the best brawler class, but only in terms of uber leet doodness. If you want to win, be a TKA.

But Swordsman is clearly the most fun to play. Its just **edit** cool.

So to answer your question, a TKA would be the last man standing, but the Swordsman would look the most awesome while he was getting the **edit** kicked out of him.

yes we are getting some help soon.. but TKA, the darling child of SOE is getting more help than any other. I have a TKnovice and it is pretty lethal but as someone mentioned its not as fun as 2H. And also mentioned ranged and melee mind bleeds is pretty darned lethal as well. Try them both and see which one you like.. its often a matter of playstyle.

I don't know the answer, but I can tell you Swordsman is alot of fun. We can do big mind bleeds, and strong head hits, all with AP2 weapons, and at very little mind cost.

TKA is basically the flavor of the month class because it truley is uber compared to the other melee classes. If you look at their defenses and toughness, they're about double any other melee class, so yeah.

However, swordsman is **edit** cool to play, and I love it.

If I were just starting a melee class, I would play TKA. They are the best and therefore you will have a lot of fun playing one. As a TKA you will enjoy the following benefits:

• You will be "UBER"


• You can officially refer to yourself as "L33T"


• You will be able to "lay down the smack" on people in PvP

and the #1 reason to play TKA:

• Free hand jobs from the DEVs (yes, they love TKA's that much)

Hehe. I make it up the two handed tree last night of brawler. I was fihgitng along side a TKA and I must say, I really thought his ability to "cure all his wounds" and "heal his own poison/disease" was a bit much. Holy moly!
