Thread: The Nameless Blade (Ch.2 Added)
Frel’s face glowed orange as the old man unsheathed the blade. His lekku tingled; truly this was a magnificent weapon.
“This is the only one of its kind left.At least as far as I know,”Crackled the old man.He wore a dark cloak; Frel could barely distinguish the Nameless Man from a common Jawa.But a Jawa would never exude the kind of power Frel sensed in the man.
Frel had spent many years searching for this blade, and the person who carried it.An informant had even insisted that the man had once been a mighty Jedi.But Frel was not here for the man, no, the Nameless Blade was the true prize.
“May I?”Frel asked as he reached out for the hilt.The man obliged.The blade was heavier than Frel had assumed.“You mentioned that this was the last of its kind…. What of the others?”
“Destroyed to prevent them from falling into ill hands.When the lightsaber began to come about there wasn’t much use for these blades.”
“So it is a Jedi weapon after all?”Frel grew excited at the mention of the lightsaber.
“Jedi were around far before the technology to construct an energy weapon existed.Indeed, Jedi were around far before they took up that name.”
“The blades were broken into three pieces, the hilt, blade, and power unit.I suppose these could still be floating around, but I can assure you that not many are complete.”
“They are powerful weapons.However, they are no lightsaber.These still have a solid blade that can be broken.What make them unique are the plasma emitters that create a field of intense heat around the blade.”
Suddenly the old man sat up straight.“The blade is yours to keep.Carry it with pride.”He pulled an object from within his cloak.“Go now, he has found me.Keep the Nameless Blade safe, let a better fortune find you than its previous keeper.”
Frel was startled and confused. The old man seemed taller somehow, and not so frail.A sense of urgency washed over Frel.
“Who has found you?”
“The Dark One.Go now, before he discovers you also,” the man said as he thumbed a switch that brought his own lightsaber to life.The yellow from its blade drowned out the faint orange from the weapon Frel was holding.
As Frel ran down the corridor he could hear labored breathing for an instant.The sound made his blood run cold.It was interrupted by a sudden flurry of buzzing, as if the air itself had been cut.The odd noise ended after only a few seconds.He stopped and turned around.The only things that remained were the sound of the labored breathing and a faint red glow.

this sword here could be fun to have .... but i think it needs to be rare .... very rare.
