Speed rules did indeed change,I think it is pretty much impossible to "cap" now.

Well ill see how my 3.3 speed exceptional hammer does for speed capping...and can add 12 points through force skills if needed on top of +25 in tapes.

well, hopefully your weapons will still be pretty 'uber' compared to everyone elses.


btw, what is the deal with PHs being kinetic damage? do we get a damage besides kinetic? the different damage types was what convinced me to go from a tk/doc to a Swordsman/doctor..

yeah....my 644 maxacklay hammer and my 961 max now have about a 50pt difference in max damage. So yeah...they had better do something. Oh and that was my hammer btw I remember having it made with my 426 max exceptional bones hehe...looks like it has been passed through a few hands now.

look at the damage range, while max got only like +100, mind went up a ton.

WTH is element dmg??? That sounds like an EQ2 thing not a star wars thing..... lame....

Well, I think that when the CU goes Live, that will be it for me... I just logged onto TC4 (TC-Corbantis) to see what my Power Hammer would be Like after this here CU. In live, my Power Hammer now is 220-1050 5.9 (without a powerup), and I am speed capped with that. I also have a Scythe which is 242-447 2.6 (unpupped). I go onto the CU, and after changing my template to be MSwords/MBrawler/TKM and I have FS Melee Speed. The First thing I do is look at my Hammer. The stats are now 566-1124 3.48 , but I notice it says "Your Speed: 1.99". Odd, I am speed capped easy in Live, and now with the General Melee Speed, it says I am 152 speed, so I would think that should say "Your Speed: 1.0"... Anyway, Next I check my Scythe. Here is my Scythe after conversion: 190-978 3.3. "Your Speed: 1.89"... Now, If you look at the links I posted (examinations of the weapons pre and post conversion), Look closely at "Your modified DPS" for each weapon post-conversion, and tell me if SOMETHING SEEMS A LITTLE ODD HERE.

I Think this is it for me. That hammer cost me EVERYTHING I OWNED. In order for me to get that hammer, I had 24 hours to make 55 million credits when I had never had more than 9m in my bank, and at the time only had 3m... Somehow I managed to pull it off, but I was BROKE and ITEMLESS.. I had NOTHING. I have put so much time and money into this game, and here the devs go and screw me. THANKS SOE!

I think they will change it...our nice weapons wont be light years better than normal crafted ones now, but they should still be good compared to them. The only thing with Acklay hammers though is that they all have slow speed, so if you arent hitting the speed cap with it then maybe they have changed the speed rules?

People need to chill out until its finished...still in testing....


btw, some weapons have 2 damage types on them now, a base damage type (either energy or kinetic), and an element damage type (either electric, heat, acid, or cold, i can't remember all of em ) the base damage type is most of the whole damage range, the element is just a small bonus.

Relax. Its just a different name to what we've ALWAYS had. And yes, to answer a previous question, Swordsmen get Kinetic, Energy (I think), Cold (Sith Sword), and Acid (Scythe) damage types.

ok here are exact stats for 3 of my weapons...

295-961 damage 559-1094 damage estimated dps (not including my speed mods...those are irrelivent atm) 237.13


19.7% wound 14.11% wound


PH:


before: after:

218-644 damage533-1037 damage estimated dps 225.33

2H cleaver

4.3 spd 3.57 spd


93-303 106-208 (damage got worse) estimated dps 43.95

ok you can compare the PH's...as you can see, the stats that were the same (speed, wound) stayed the same...as for the damage...make your own conclusions.


and then on the 2H cleaver...damage actually got worse?? confuses me but oh well...won't really be using it.
